Zelda and Link.are perfectly cast! I hope this will be based on Ocarina of Time, it's my favorite video game of all time 😄 I fancast Christopher Eccleston as Ganondorf!

I kinda wish this was another Illumination CGI project... I just don't like the idea of a live-action Zelda movie. (So much of it: Bokoblins, Octoroks, Lynels, Stalfos, Zoras, Like-Likes, etc. will have to be CGI anyway...)

If I could have my way, I would have Studio Ghibli animate the movie in their distinctive Miyazaki style.

@ornclown that would be awesome. I don't think Illumination would want to make a darker movie, though. I hope they use some practicality, like a real horse for Epona

I also would have preferred an animated movie, if for no other reason so we could have an animated Smash Bros crossover. However, Nintendo really seems committed to expanding their IP beyond video games, and a successful live action series of movies would be more profitable in the long run. I think they will make sure it has every opportunity to succeed.

True.... but, I think that a live-action Metroid movie would have been a better choice.

I feel that Sci-Fi works better in live medium than Fantasy... Star Wars, Star Trek, Predator, Tron, GotG, Firefly, etc., etc. have proven that science fiction can work well with live actors, whereas live-action Fantasy movies always seem like LotR or GoT clones and are thusly compared.

Plus, the land of Hyrule just lends itself to the animated medium so well. I don't want it to look like Middle Earth, or The Continent, or Westeros... I want it to have all the unique quirks of Hyrule.

I'll withhold judgement until I see a trailer. I really do hope it ends up being good.

That show was pretty bad. Unlike the Super Mario bros one. Cool animation though
