@he-dad haha don’t get me wrong, I’ve thought about it. Life is funny. I came into my daughter’s life when she was turning 2 almost. I was 21. She’s now 25 married a year and a bit. My wife is 36 lol. So life is funky.

Your daughter must get those comments when she is next to your wife where people ask if they are sisters. Your wife must love that. I would. Good for you! @he-dad I’ve been collecting the Origins line for that reason. I have the DVD’s, comic, and story books with tapes for some for that reason. I hope she takes to it a bit.

I can't believe it's almost Christmas  

Just got back from Sonic Expo Dallas. A big annual Sonic the Hedgehog fan convention. In case y'all don't know I'm a huge fan and this weekend to me felt like Disneyland without the rides or extreme capitalism and desperate corporate synergy.

I've discussed the franchise on two different forums on this site but one user, not naming who, was just like "shut up". To be fair they were forums in specifically MOTU related categories so alright fine.

But this is a Just Talk forum where I can jabber about anything so yeah.

Think Power Con or TFCon but y'know, obviously Sonic themed with some of the biggest names in the online fan community, along with comic artists, voice actors, the usual, but also an 18+ rave night.

Reminder this is run entirely run by fans and Sega is very chill with fan content, as opposed to Nintendo who would happily have a fan con that's completely about their characters raided by their personal legal FBI squad within an hour.

Also an indoor high energy concert featuring niche British pop artists Bentley Jones, TJ Davis and the main man, Johnny Gioeli of two man rock band Crush 40, who to us Sonic fans is basically our Aerosmith or Rolling Stones. Their most iconic song "Live and Learn" was even featured in the third film last year, cue many, many hyped cheers in the theaters as soon as those guitars started riffing.

Also the awesome cosplay. Can't forget the beyond amazing cosplay.
