Thing is Laser Bolt is relatively simplistic. And there's loads of ways to make vehicles work like packing in a figure or making a bundle of them. Nobody dreamed we'd get a Collector.
To be fair, the Collector to mee seems like a very deliberate attempt to get people to switch over to the Cartoon Collection. Which is obviously where Mattel sees the future of the line. Vintage Origins is probably more of a "burden" at this point, seeing how very un-enthusiastic the timetable has become.
I will admit, I was very very tempted to start the Cartoon Collection, but I just couldn't bring myself to collect Masterverse NE, "vintage" Origins and CC in parallel. At some point it just is...enough 😀

I'd agree but then we got that expensive MV Skeletor set too and that line has been running for years. And here in the UK at least the Collector sold out just about everywhere. It's worth noting that the vehicles mostly aren't that complicated and if they know they're doing a limited run... or do them made to order.
Wait until they flood the cartoon line with Snakemen. I dont know whats up with Mattel’s hard on for snakemen.
@banthafett Well luckily there were hardly any Snake Men in Filmation - only Rattlor and Tung Lashor appeared.

I always thought Filmation Tung Lashor looked weird even by Filmation standards!

I'm all for new characters, and these 2 guys look pretty cool, but c'mon - we're still a long way from even finishing the remaining vintage characters at the glacial pace they're going at, and on top of that, there are still a lot of new characters that were shown on box art going back 4 years now without a sign of them getting a figure (purple cyclops anyone???). What's the point in continually adding new ones that are prominent in official art if there's no intention of even releasing ones that were previously shown?? It's just cruel blue-balling of the fandom.
@durendal The same way Classics fans were blue balled over mini-comics Tri-Klops appearing on the back of the Power-con Trap Jaw/Prince Adam/Stratos 3-pack release ... we'd been waiting years for that in Classics and Mattel gave it to us in Origins ... with a MOTUC glow-in-the-dark warrior ring, no less.

@abaddon Exactly, and when they finally did give us that decades-long demanded variant of Tri-Klops, they fucked up his colours. He still needs a 100% accurate release.

@depp76 FINALLY. The recent MV Leech clearly followed his Filmation design, yet they inexplicably gave him an olive green colour, which is totally wrong if they were going for the Filmation look. It only took 40 years to get him right. What the hell is Mattel doing?
