Anybody have any recommendations for a good, cheap black cape for Cartoon Collection Evil-lyn?
Like a certain Darth Vader figure? Or something? Don’t really want to buy a custom one unless it is a real home run.
@grayskullguardsman I think even Pixel Dan used a customizer, and he was happy. Might be in his YouTube review of her.
I remember browsing EBay, I once saw a seller who had sold a lot of them, maybe you can find them.

@admin Or will she??? This was just a prototype, I hope they won’t drop it for the real figure !! She-Ra is high profile though. They go the extra mile, even the “vintage” style first Origins figure had a fabric cape (and even somewhat of a skirt!)
CC She-Ra needs some slight tweaking with the face and hair. Hopefully they pull it off. The early CC Teela they showed caused some concern among fans but ultimately the production figure nailed the look to much relief.
If it didn't have a neck ring I'd swear She-Ra has a plastic cape.
I’ve not seen anybody discussing the rumoured new figures, what’s everyone’s thoughts?
CC Tri-Klops - Glad he’s next. Apart from Fang Man and an improved Evil Lynn, that’ll be me done with the CC collection (PoP/ Horde aside).
CC Leech - I’m not crazy about the design so an easy pass.
Frosta - Depends how well the sculpt etc turns out. I know if I get one PoP Princess I’ll be compelled to buy em all though.
Clear Skeletor - I’m hoping based on the CC figure. This is a must buy for me and I’m pretty hyped if this is real! Hopefully the transparency is more uniform than on the previous one.
CC Tri-Klops - I hope they get his colour right with the dark green tunic. The Super7 version was way too bright.
CC Leech - I'm really excited for this one since we've never gotten a cartoon accurate Leech. The recent MV figure comes pretty close, but the colour is wrong. He needs to be mint green!! I pray it's right shade this time because I doubt we'll get another shot at it.
CC Frosta - They need to nail this one because she's one of the most popular POP characters, and it's a golden opportunity to finally wash away the lingering stink of the dull grey Classics figure from 10 years ago that they never fixed. The MV version looked better, but we need a truly cartoon accurate one that's perfect this time.
Invisible Skeletor - what the hell is this nonsense?? A lame repaint that nobody asked for instead of a unique character? I hate that. Mattel is taking a page from Super7...get outta here with that shit.

The different types of plastic make it impossible to have 100% uniform colors let alone translucency.

It was a little shaky at first but I have to hand it to Mattel because they have been rocking the CC figures lately. Frosta is still up in the air but I got no doubt the colors of Tri-Klops and Leech will be on point.

It's going to sell like crazy. If Mondo can find buyers for that raspberry looking overpriced Scare Glow at SDCC then Mattel will find buyers for this.😂

Repaints help keep toy lines going, most of the time. Also just because you don't like doesn't mean others won't have fun with it. You never know "Disappearing Act" might be someone's favorite episode.

Somehow not surprised that Walmart delayed my Terroar and Krang again, now supposedly shipping mid-September.
I had ordered them at that WM “Collector-Con” back in… May? They only shipped Lord Gr’Asp.

Given that they made Evil-Lyn the wrong color and didn't even include her cape I wouldn't get my hopes up.
I'm more hoping for Glimmer before Frosta. Not really sure why Frosta's so popular. I found the way she fawned over He-Man annoying.
I'm curious, has anyone been seeing Moss Man and Merman at their local Wal-Marts? I've seen plenty of Krangs, but none of the other two. I'm getting worried we might have a Duplico situation on our hands...

Catra was shown with a cape too, so hopefully, at least when it comes to the "Cartoon Collection", Evil-Lyn will be the first (and last) figure to be missing a cape. 🙂

What was up with that softness? They looked like bathtub toys. Mattel fixed that and fixed the faces too. The sculpts are looking more like the cartoon now. The first couple waves were suspect.

The problem with Catra is the panther is too damn small. That is suppose to be her and instead it looks like her pet cat.
