Product pricing for companies is a complex process, and that unable is actually an unknown to us. That price is for retailers. We pay the MSRP, a price suggested by a manufacturer to retailers to make the product seem attractive to retailers so they'll buy it and stock it to sell to you.
Like I said it complicated. And I may not be explaining it very well.

Yeah I mean I did study economy at some point, I get it, but I wasn’t criticizing the price, just stating that Mattel obviously bets on a cheaper line rn, to reach the kids they couldn’t quite reach with Origins.
In order to make sense at retail, these products need to be costing very little to produce. But they also need to sell.
I think it’s interesting of Mattel, to go with products they are very affordable. Everything is expensive, and people are watching their money.
But, of course Core is making Origins look like a deluxe line 😏 But they have some charm.

They're really good for filling out the world. You can take their weapons and use then as normal Eternian citizens, as new characters, custom fodder or over priced weapons packs.

Ordered this movie Beast Man. He looks good, the body color is a bit funny but otherwise all good.
Wonder if these specs are true or mistakes again– sculpted fur? I thought it looks like real faux fur? And he’s 6.75 inches tall 😳??

He has sculpted fur on his arms and legs and by the way he fills out the box he's a "giant" like, ToG Sla'Kar or Krang.

Ordered him this time. Getting sucked into those movie Origins.., was kinda planning to just do a few Core and be done with it…
But, these look better than their Core counterparts. And Origins (swole buck like vintage) does tickle my collector bone…

I might have bought core but now I'm only doing origins and not bothering by the rest.
Kinda still wondering if Movie Trap Jaw really is a “giant” like @smitty-81 suspects…
The pricing and slightly strange proportions could suggest it… but character-wise, it doesn’t really make sense? Also, his proportions could just be a bit off because of the (removable?) belt riding up.
If he is a giant, I guess you are getting more bang for your buck, and he could he really fun in hand. But not sure how it’ll look with the other characters.
Perhaps the Deluxe is just all the new parts and the weapons arm?

Edit: Just got notice that my movie Beast Man from Creations is shipping, AND that Target is prepping my movie He-Man to send out, too (I skipped Spikor for now).

I read somewhere that movie Trap Jaw's torso looked like 200X Beast Man's. I don't remember if it was here or Facebook. But considering ToG Mech-a-neck and Rattlor came with so much i don't see Trap Jaw's arm pushing him into the deluxe price point. But that doesn't account for inflation or shrinkflation.

Getting a double Movie Origins delivery today, apparently!
Movie Beast Man has apparently already arrived somewhere in the building, just today.
And Movie Origins He-Man from Target is on track to arrive later today.

I'm not a wrestling fan at all, but the figures are perfect for customs... and in some cases, have accessories that never show up in MOTU Origins proper.

No... I didn't realize he was a Wally exclusive until too late. Then, I was late again when he apparently came back in to stock...
I'm not fretting too much, however, because it's a 50/50 chance that WM will actually fulfill the order anyway.
I'll most likely have to look to eBay... I'm hoping Trap Jaw doesn't become some kind of unicorn and skyrocket in price.
