About damn time!

What's particularly interesting about BA's imminent release is that he's never been even hinted at previously - not even a single appearance in any Origins artwork or comic. I'm sure that's a first.

@sketchyskeletor this makes me wonder id the have more that one set of tools for each part and how many parts are on each tool.

Because GBW uses Hordak's duck feet in gold and no other Hordak parts and I don't this any other parts in that color.

We've see a lot of factory level mixing and matching that would suggest that theres a mold tool with just feet and another one with just shins.

He fits well with this week’s other Origins arrival, Sketchbook He-Man.

Too bad they dropped any Mark Taylor reference from He-Man’s packaging. I guess some suit got cold feet to give a creator just a quarter of an inch, or rather, recognition. “They’ll claim some rights or revenue, it’ll be a headache!!”

I mean it's really cool and all but very expensive and way too big.

@sketchyskeletor Wow. That is impressive, I like how you can swap the regular ribs for figure carrying clips.

Not my price range, but I’m sure there are people who can swing it and would love it. Compared to a Mondo figure… it might fit with the smaller Mondos even.

Would love to see another vehicle or beast from Mattel (or a cheaper third party company 😅).

Maybe the movie line will give us some cool stuff, I hope it’ll fit with Origins or MV though– not just in scale but also in look and design.🤞 

Otherwise I might get a couple vehicles from older lines from EBay this year.

I wonder what the next crowdfund will be if they even attempt it. I mean they showed us the Fright Zone sketch then put it out at retail, and the Snake Lair was a sketch from start to finish... whatever happens sketches certainly aren't the way to go about it!

With the best will in the world a large Eternos is a nonstarter because of the cost alone. People rightly baulked at the Lair's price. 

Vehicles... Trak maybe. Anything else would need to be the entire dinosaur set and I really hope they don't fuck us about like that. Even the Trak might struggle now between new pricing and the cartoon collection not exactly setting the world on fire.

I dunno, are there enough Masterverse fans left for a Grayskull? Or maybe an iconic cartoon version? That's a thought, if the Lair (and Fright Zone) proved anything it's that you can't be passing retail items off as ludicrously expensive crowdfunds! It needs to be a mix of large, desired item that really couldn't be at retail, and yet not priced into the stratosphere with it.

@sketchyskeletor Crowdfund projects don't have to be something outrageously expensive. They could do the Bashasaurus at $100 with stretch goals being a driver, an evil troop builder (x3) and a small breakable wall for the bad guys to try to hide behind.

I would love that, but the tendency of these companies seems that they want to do higher priced items, something that “is not possible” otherwise.

I don’t really look too much at what Hasbro is doing but I hear it’s always pricey. 
I suspect that’s why they made the Snake House so high-end, *both* times.

I wish Mattel would set themselves apart by doing something more reasonable. But perhaps it will be not worth the trouble for them otherwise.

The most important thing about Blast-Attak's release is that Rotar and Twistoid are on the package!

@chrisa and, if I'm not mistaken a 200X Snakeman soldier. Maybe he'll be in the rumoured 4 pack with the hooded Skeleton guy?

@durendal Blast Attak is officially a Snakeman. Probably. Definitely maybe. We'll see. The value of your investment may go up or down...

No sticker on front of box, but snakes on back but also Twistoid (who was also an Evil Warrior but was teamed up with Sssqueeze and Snake Face in his minicomic. So Blast-Attak and Twistoid could just be on loan), but also also is paired with Scare Glow in his minicomic based on the cover so he's gonna work with Skeletor's forces

I find this more acceptable than how Classics played it at any rate. Seems like they're leaving it to your own interpretation about what's "right". 

So Team "Blast-Attak is an Evil Warrior"... We didn't decisively win, but we won enough of a victory for my taste, so let's call it a detente 😆 

I'll resist my urge to fight about it in future lol

I feel like you're reaching. 

The cardback art seems to show Blast-Attak attacking both energy zoids, and the comic cover seems to show him getting in between Skeletor and Scareglow having a spat. Maybe Skeletor is still pissed about the TF crossovers? 

@evilwarrior Clearly they really love messing with us 

@durendal honestly that could be part of it. I may get 3 Blast-Attak figures and put one with each evil faction. I would get 6 so Skell-Ra, the Foot, and the Decepticons could have one too but thats not allowed.

They are keeping and playing with the ambiguity in Blast Attack’s affiliation. Yeah that might be the best way to play it.
