@thedoctor The thing is with store exclusives, you’ll never be sure that they will do any of these things you mention, to ensure availability. They’re just different channels from Creations, e.g.

It would be great, sure, if they put them up on Creations for those countries that don’t have Targets e.g. But even IF they did that, as you say there are those countries Creations doesn’t ship to. Mattel just won’t ship to those places and will not go through the trouble to figure out other availability for each item, for every country on earth… they just decided some countries are not worth the trouble 🫤

What I’m saying is there are lots of risks with store exclusives, not to be able to get them, even in the US, let alone internationally.

That’s why I think they suck.

Now fan channel, that’s a different story, though even Amazon stuff can be messy, too.

@cosmic True logistics can be messy for shipping. I just want regular releases across the board in the end. Make it so every fan can get it some how.

@smitty-81 That does also suck when the store that should be carrying them doesn't. I for one am not doing the He-Man/TF crossover. Not appealing to me.. The Stranger Things ones are on my possible list.

I really wish we would hear something about the level of their interest regarding She-Ra/POP.

We don't even get an Adora during the anniversary year? We're switching back to the MOTU packaging for 2026? We're seen a huge push for 200X figures?

@disneyboy Well, there is the Masterverse Adora coming out soon, but yes, I agree, we need a full lineup of POP in CC Origins, and it's incredibly annoying that Mattel has gotten distracted with suddenly putting out all that 200X stuff. Hopefully that phase will be short lived and they get back to proper Filmation CC, because there are still tons of characters to be done there.

@sketchyskeletor According to this article, it could come with actual slime! While this may be appealing to the most nostalgic fans, as an adult collector, I would hope that an alternative is also on the table. For instance, some liquid-effect clips that can be placed inside the mouth.

I mean it strikes me as a complete embarrassment if it doesn't, but yeah, I'd prefer an effect piece alongside so that I don't have to make one!

They need to at least make Adora and the Sorceress. They have to.

@samuel They'd be fools not to release the Sorceress.

@disneyboy  I'm sure they'll still make She-Ra CC figures, it's just that with CC Randor and Marlena, their making them have 2024 He-Man specific cardbacks because they were prominent characters in that show.

I'm betting if they're gonna do Glimmer, Scorpia.....Entrapta (Latter is my character bias), they'll use this year's She-Ra themed cardback.

Basically I'm betting the CC cardbacks are no longer a whole year specific thing, all the CC figures had the anniversary Hordak cardback regardless if they were in She-Ra or not. Ram Man, Buzz-off, Faker, etc.

with a 3rd show now in CC and a stylistically different one at that, they're gonna keep doing Filmation, but a little less and when they do, the Grayskull and Hordak cardbacks will still be used to tell which half of Filmation MOTU the character is from

Anyone else betting that will probably be the case going forward?

Slightly similar stuff was happening with the snakes, I think.

At retail, when regular waves come out, somehow it always needs to be the same card back for all. But with exclusives (especially on Creations), they are more flexible. The Cardbacks of Randor and Marlena are already proof of that.

I’m positive they will use the Hordak card back for PoP related CC figures, and e.g. bring back the Snakes card back if we ever get more Origins snakes (god I hope not 😝).

On another note, looks like my Stranger Things Hordak set is coming today, I’m excited!

@cosmic I only want to see the Snakemen card two more times, Strobo and Plasmar. Then send the rest of the Snakemen to POG.

So all the Cartoon Collection, Filmation, 200x has made me think of a fun idea for us in this forum to do if interested 

every CC figure, whether they include an artifact or not is based on a specific episode that the back of the packaging tells us.

now what I’m about to suggest is all HYPOTHETICAL. Mattel isn’t gonna do this ever.

what I think would be fun is us looking through all TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY THREE Filmation episodes (or 218 wasn’t Secret of the Sword aired on TV as a five-parter?),

checking off all of the episodes that have already been covered by the figures that have been released and then listing all the episodes that HAVE NOT been covered

and make our own lists of hypothetical figures of characters, recurring, minor, one-off characters that have maybe only gotten a Classics figures?, character variants, etc. that were prominent in each specific episode.

basically if Mattel were to hypothetically cover every episode of Filmation, what would the whole figure roster be?

this could also apply to 200x since it’s just starting even though we only have 4 figures out as of now, but there’s a way lower episode count, so if you wanted to do it for that show, it would be way easier to assign each episode a character or variant.

again, this is all hypothetical Mattel should never do this my idea is all just for fun.
