If we imagine he’s more of a robot though, doesn’t that make it more ok in terms of kids?

Like, I always imagined if he blows up, you can put him back together and he’s ok. He can put himself together, or whatever.

Like, the Horde Troopers get blown up to pieces all the time. If they are robots, do they have an individual mind?

Or Multi-Bot, He-Man tries to smash him in his vintage Mini Comic…

If BA is a suicide bomber, then isn’t He-Man a killer? Aren’t all of them?

To me, BA does not die when he’s blown up, he just gets disheveled.
But I get what smitty ‘s saying, there’s something to think about.

I’ve never seen this kind of Skeletor… the chains are reminiscent of his Dragon Blaster armor, ofc !

I’m not that shocked by the Crimson Countess… I guess because I’ve seen her in (unused?) card art by Eroll McCarty before. He’s selling some prints with her on EBay.

@sketchyskeletor When this trade paperback was announced in August of 2024 (it is crazy that it took this long to get released) the low 96 page count never supported the bandwidth for minicomics,  unfortunately. 😔

No. But there was a delay and I think the page count on Amazon's listing went up after that.

Not as great as Dragon Blaster Skelly, but not bad. Something is missing without the dragon, though… If he comes in the Sketchbook Series, there’s a good chance he’ll have something extra.

I have seen the Eroll  McCarthy illo of Crimson Countess and assumed she was an unproduced vintage concept. Good to know the real origin now. 👍

I was looking at the remaining figures and there's only 6 if you don't count the giants. With Two-Bad's tooling already done and Blast Attacks' legs apparently used for GBW we could assume they'll be out next year. Not that having parts already tooled means anything, Modulock and Frog Monger taught us that. But that leaves the three '87 movie characters, Stonedar, the energy zoids and Laser He-Man and Skeletor.

However! With the new movie coming Mattel may want to shift their focus to the '87 movie and out three VC MC figure will be Blade, Saurod and Gwildor, with hopefully an '87 movie He-Man and Skeletor added in the mix.

@smitty-81 Regarding Vintage Two-Bad, I think there has been a slight imprecision about the online conversation since the original statement was made by Mattel’s manager–

I believe he said Two-Bad was sculpted. Or did he say he was tooled or the molds were done? I remember sculpted.

In my opinion, there is a difference and I feel the online discussion jumped the gun a bit. Sculpted can mean that he is simply sculpted digitally in a 3D program. This does not mean the physical molds are done.

IMO that means yes, effort has been made, design-wise, but Mattel has not spent the big bucks yet to make the molds / tools. It literally can mean … nothing as pertaining to how soon he may come. 🤓 If I want to be pessimistic 😅 

@cosmic you're right he said "sculpted" at about the 2 minute mark, but he goes on to say it's just a matter of finding the right time. The implication is that they didn't want to release him at the same time as the Cartoon Collection figure and then during the Hoard invasion was not the right time. At least that's what we can infer from what he says.

It does sound like their planning changed due to CC Two-Bad, but I also think it’s anyone’s guess.

Considering there may be other figures that have also been 3D rendered, I’m just trying to be relaxed about this one, and not to read too much into it.

I don't know if this is related or not... But this interview was the last time we ever saw that guy.
