@smitty-81 I would have killed to have him back in the Motuc Classics days, so much so that I had to substitute his absence on my shelves with the impressive Motaro (Mortal Kombat), which, in my opinion, blends perfectly with the Motu universe. Anyway, sticking to the Filmation subject, I know some of us are going to be thrilled to learn that Toy Habits has recently confirmed that both Randor and Marlena will be released as Cartoon Collection figures.

There's a lot that "fits in" with MOTU. I really hope we eventually get a centaur or centaur-like figure, something more coherent that Modulok.

As for Randor and Marlina I hope they aren't Walmart ebay exclusives. I've been wanting a Queen Marlena for 40 years.

Classics...

For a lot of fans, Masters of the Universe Classics might have will not even existed.It was only available online.You had to be really paying attention to a franchise that had essentially been dead for quite some time, to even know that the line existed or to figure out when figures were going to drop.

Don't tell me, it was available in Classics because as far as i'm concerned, Classics never happened.

Oh I'll take them all, but I'll be the least excited about Colossor. 

Very interesting to see the new CC announcement of King and Queen… we’re now in a territory to figure out which characters should be released as “Vintage Collection”, and which should be CC Filmation (and which should be 200X CC??) (Echoes of MOTU Classics).

And which character will justify having both versions, and which is ok to have only in one incarnation?

Thankfully the two sublines are somewhat compatible (if you bend the CC figures’ knees).

I don’t think many are clamoring for a “Vintage” style Fang Man, and a “Palace style” Randor might he sufficient to have only as CC,… Thankfully the ladies fit mostly into both collections.

I think everybody’s collections may gain a bit more variety as we keep going!

@cosmic However, as a hardcore fan, I find the impressive diversity of these modern Motu toy lines pretty disconcerting. Though exciting at first, legitimate questions about space are quickly taken into account. On the subject of diversity, Toy Habits has released details about waves five and six of the 200X cartoon line in the last few hours.

@onlyoneskeletor Alright they gotta slow down with the leaks and predictions, I think it’s a bit spoiler-y when they post stuff one year ahead…

When Mattel releases the info, fine, but I like to be a bit surprised here and there, and be in the moment.

There was an element of anticipation back then. Was they new figure you just saw a commercial for going to the, or maybe the new character that was on the show this afternoon, or maybe something completely new! Maybe nothing new, but they'll still have the figure you passed on last time.

Now we know the release window and we get a full list of figures for the next few months, we see their pictures on line, sometimes people get them early and do a YouTube review.  

It's just not the same.

@smitty-81 Collecting is different as an adult in many ways… But we manage to have fun nevertheless 😊 But yeah, I really do appreciate when they manage to surprise us every now and then.

On another note, while I’m a big defender and proponent of the mini-comics, noticed a big blunder in the Sting-Or comic… or perhaps a correction that wasn’t fully realized.

I don’t think Stinkor was supposed to be the second-in-command of Sting-Or. In the speech balloon it says Stinggar (the 2nd scorp warrior?), and the artist thought it’s Stinkor. Script dictated through the phone?

Or perhaps they had Stinggar there first, and didn’t want to tease him after all… replaced him with Skunk-Man but forgot to change the text…

Serves ‘em right for having so many similar names 🤪 Where’s an editor when you need one.

@cosmic you didn't spoil anything. Ive already glanced at some else's scan and watched Mr. Home Arcade's video. Its doesn't seem like it'll be very good.

I think the sketch figures are the only thing we didn't strictly know were coming.
