@smitty-81 They could mean just Swifty w/ She-Ra…
Though I’d be ready to bet they would at least do the odd Creations release of a couple more.
@cosmic maybe they'll go back to four characters in each wave with three 200X and 1 CC Filmation

@cosmic @smitty-81 Never mind the figures! Now that the Fright Zone is out, the clock is ticking to give the horde the empire it deserves. So bring on the Slime Pit right away!
@smitty-81 That would be cool. Thought they’d have to have different cardbacks…? I guess they’ve done that with Fan Favorites before.

Honestly I wouldn't hate a unified card style.

@disneyboy that even with 200X coming there will be more Filmation PoP figures.
I wish they were more specific. If Mattel showed off some more Filmation figures with the 200x ones I would feel better about it.
@samuel It’s possible they didn’t want to steal any thunder from the 200X presentation. It was a most impressive showcase, and they had lots of other stuff to show.
Maybe they’ll show some more CC around New York Comic Con 🤞 (even if they are not participating, which I’m not sure about).
(I’m not even really collecting CC, but I do have quite a few figures; mostly I’m just rooting for all you CC fans! Though I’ll definitely take some more unique characters!)
@cosmic I enjoy following the Origins toyline, especially its evolution. To me, it's as if some of my favorite references have been brought together in the antechamber of the Masterverse line. Hope springs eternal!
@onlyoneskeletor Origins was my passion at first, starting in 2020. But since the vintage figures are so slow, my excitement has shifted more towards Masterverse.
But anytime a new, real “vintage” figure comes out, I definitely get more excited to pull out my Origins again (most of my stuff is not on display due to very crammed living situation).

A terrific new marketing video promoting the Masters of the Universe: Origins "Cartoon Collection" Action Figure line!

So do I but I think Mattel is paranoid about people bootleging uncoming figures by using existing parts. And, honestly I get it. If I had the resources I'd be selling Plasmar and Strobo KOs on ebay.

alright be honest people
Who else immediately saw Skeletor doing the iconic Homer bush GIF at the end?
That's funny. The whole video was funny. The person who decided to make them play sports is a genius.
I have to say I am very surprised the way Mattel promotes these cartoon figures. I don't know if this sort of commercial is done industry wide but it is very impressive.

@elder On a positive note, they're still around and being actively promoted, which makes me confident in this line's continued viability.
MC Fright Zones are starting to ship.

@smitty-81 Excuses accepted, Mattel! They indicated September 12th in the mailing they sent to consumers.

@admin WOW! I love it!
This is the way to promote them. I like when it is more serious but this is a great way to counter that. Both approaches are valuable, and together they are even better!
Wonderful tongue in cheek but also full of action, superpowers,… favorite detail might be Fang-Or or whatshisname using his artifact like a baseball glove. Genius.
She-Ra and He-Man are badass, despite the comedy… love it.
@elder Hasbro and Takara Tomy do this a lot with their new Transformers figures. Having cute stop motion shorts of the characters just doing whatever that isn't waging war.
I remember for the 35th anniversary theatrical rerelease of the '86 movie, before the film they would play a few voice acted ones mainly portraying the characters being actors acting in the movie, that type of thing. They even got the original VAs for Grimlock and Blurr.
@slycooperastroboy51 Brilliant! It feels like the art form has improved since then.

So weird thing: I just received my Cartoon Collection Vultak from Mattel Creations, good figure, but I look on it's wings and it's copyright label says "Viacom International Inc.". I'm confused. This isn't a Turtles of Grayskull figure. Why is Viacom aka Paramount labeled as the copyright on this? I am not joking look at the wingpiece if you have a CC Vultak. Is the wingpiece a shared part with a Turtles of Grayskull figure? I doubt it. Looks nothing like the one on Hordak or Ninjor.
