No, they need more well known characters to team up, not C list nobodies that only show up in a few episodes. And Starscream Armor Scareglow gets a pass because he's introduced in the mini comic to hype him up, hes a cool skeleton ghost man and even though he never made it into any cartoons until Revelation he's very well known in the MOTU fandom.

I dunno, these comparisons with Super7 and the Classics Grayskull ages ago (or even Storm now) just don’t work for me because all these items are / were super-high grade and super expensive, with smaller production runs, and a Billion Dollar Company just has different economics. They do encounter the occasional blip in the matrix.
That said, again, simplifying the SL, stripping down, and offering it for $150, should have been possible. Or offer the big one for $300.
When it came to the feedback, they only listened to “It doesn’t look like concept”, and “It’s too big”, but not to “it’ll be too pricey”.
But yeah, going in circles with this discush, it is what it is. Hopefully better in the future.
Snake Lair only need 80 more backers. Even though I'm not backing it i hope it does get funded and reach the 8,000 mark.

So I've been sucked into collecting the MOTU/Transformers line through the mini-comic. The comic is just fun stuff.
How deep does everyone want this line to go? As long as Turtles of Grayskull or just a wave or two? I'm guessing 4 waves total.
Who do you think could be mashed up with Soundwave and Grimlock?
I love the idea of a Tri-Klops/Shockwave mash-up that a few people have had.

At SDCC they called it a "capsule collection" which usually means only a few figures. My guess is four MOTU figures then maybe 2 Transformers.
I think the story will have the Transformers finding out that Eternia is using Cybtroian technology and each side will send someone to investigate.

See, and I was hoping it wouldn't, simply because this now signals that it is somehow OK for Mattel to charge 390€ plus shipping for a clam shell playset that probably should cost 100-150€. This is not going to improve availability or affordability of this niche part (MOTU Origins) of our already niche hobby (Toys).

And while there's certainly an argument to be made about helping a crowdfunded project across the finish line, no company is going to take the kind of hit required to completely make-up a crowd-funding campaign like Snake Lair

Planet Eternia, a German site, is reporting Origins wave 27 as Adora, Glimmer, and Scorpia. I'm not sure what their source is but that's a good wave if its true.

I saw a comment on Instagram where somebody was regretting backing the Snake Lair - is there no easy option to cancel?
I remember just sorting out quickly when I backed out of a Haslab.
Mattel has definitely succeeded to make us *talk* about the Snake Lair for sure 😏
The designer has started showing some prelim package illustrations for the snorse, and of course a bit of FOMO set in for me

Or, it’s much rather the Feeling Of Being Excluded, F.O.B.E. The packaging will surely make everything quite exciting (if u don’t think about the $$$).
