@smokinya I think you've misunderstood what I meant. I was actually pointing out that Mondo didn't use the accurate look for this Skeletor (white skull and cape) in their promotional gallery.
@onlyoneskeletor Damn… beat me to it. The Instagram post has more info. He has one yellow skull and then he has 3 white skull portraits. One neutral, one angrier face and then one silly face. Additionally, the pre-order window will be open for 4 weeks starting December 9. Lots of cool pictures of him as well. He looks great. Comes with a flaming Havoc staff too.
Regarding MAA, Mondo has made comments on their IG post stating that they’re pushing the release date of MAA back by a bit to give people some breathing room between releases. Probably a smart idea as well since Christmas is coming up and funds are tighter for some folks. I know a lot of people weren’t happy that Buzz-Off had a December pre-order last year. I am shocked that we aren’t getting another 1/6th figure pre-order before year end though.
@admin wanted to tag you AJ so you can have some extra info for your post you’ll be making. Especially regarding MAA since it’s only stated in the IG comment discussion and not their post.
Mondo ain't interested in our wallets at Christmas time. This is be the time of the year to spend money. Dudes be getting their Xmas bonuses. If Mondo could put both figures up for sale they would. It has to be something else. It's either the first two figures didn't sell well and they are going to try one at a time or they are pulling back because Funko has money troubles.
@onlyoneskeletor My mistake, on a reread I understood what you meant. I agree it is odd that they used the yellow head considering that one is supposed to be mimicking the action figure whereas the white skull is the main one since it has all the variant looks. Maybe it’s because Skeletor’s head is more iconic in figure form with the yellow skull? Can’t decide which look I like best at this point.
@kraken I’m going to have to disagree with you on this one. The outrage was insane last year when they put Buzz-Off up in December. People are spending money on gifts, travel, food, etc. during this season. A lot of folks don’t have the money to splurge on themselves. Buzz-Off’s pre-order window was extended a couple weeks last year as well to combat this.
I monitor the Mondo store pretty closely (I get bored at work sometimes lol) and they’ve been popping off. Nearly all of their DesignerCon Godzilla variants sold out within a day or two. The MOTUbi Buzz-Off took a week and a half to sell out. It was a decent lot size too (500 units). Additionally, a few other warehouse MOTU products came up for sale too and they quickly disappeared from the store. On top of that Mondo seemed to push a lot of product during this last quarter on the figure front. Storm went up for pre-order, Mr. Sinister and Donatello to name a few big ones.
Mondo is a business so I’m sure that they delayed MAA for a business reason, but I’m sure part of it was also personal too. The Mondo guys have a Toy Talk for every figure they do that’s usually over an hour long. Yes, it’s marketing, but the one for Donatello was over 2 hours and they got some special guests on there too. It’s also after working hours and cutting into their personal time. Say what you will about the prices, but they do actually care about the products and brands that they work with pretty deeply.
REMINDER: The Masters of the Universe: Origins (Vintage) DRAGSTOR Figure and Mondo's “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” 200X SKELETOR 1/12 Scale Figure are both available for pre-order now!
We have the Power!
@smokinya Maybe I'm wrong dude but my guess is the first two figures didn't get as many orders as Mondo hoped and this will be the new way it's released. One at a time might bring more sales in.
I think this line will die much earlier then expected. Mattel stole their fire with releasing cc 200x at the same time.
Pinheads of the Universe. 200x designs strike again.
Pinheads of the Universe. 200x designs strike again.
It's no secret that the 200X / MYP redesigns are my least favorite in the MOTUniverse, and the ridiculous, anime-inspired proportions are a big part of why.

I'm open to the possibility that they might get better sales with just one figure going up at a time. I certainly wouldn't complain about that myself, but I do have a feeling that they sold pretty well. MOTU is one of Mondo's top products and their new stuff has been selling very well lately. That being said they also started on Mer-Man and Teela before the sales data for He-Man and Clawful even came in so they're probably feeling pretty confident about things, but only they know for sure. I still need to watch the Toy Talk for Skeletor and if there's any relevant data I'll report back here.
I do disagree about Mattel stealing their fire though. I'm a huge 200x fan. I have all of the stactions and original line from back then. You couldn't pay me to display the cc 200x figures. They look like playmates figures they have such little detail and Clawful from that line looks straight up awful. Not a fan of them at all. I would also argue that the people who are buying premium figures don't cross over much with the more retail orientated lines.
Seems Mondo did a stream showing off flocked Panthor is coming and TriKlops.
Also they're a confirmed guest/panelists at MOTU Fest!
Damn, @dgsimo beat me to he punch a bit, but I do have some more Mondo news to share other than the above from both the Toy Talks.
200x Skeletor Toy Talk Notes
- Skeletor has a completely unique sculpt from He-Man. I guess this is something they discussed doing for 1/6th, but since the line is already so deep they wanted to keep the male and female humanoid bodies the same. Won't be the case for 1/12th
- Showed off Man-At-Arms on stream and he looks great. His cannon looks sick and they created a new piece of articulation so his shoulder armour doesn't impede his movement
- Keldor figure heavily teased to be coming next year as a possible Con exclusive (similar to Faker and Goddess for 1/6th)
- Battle Cat teased as well (but not as heavily)
That's more or less the big notes from that Toy Talk
2025 Christmas Toy Talk Notes (both for 1/6th and 1/12)
- Flocked Panthor 100% confirmed for next year. They said they redid the articulation on the cat figure to make it work (not sure I'll pick it up, but might be tempted)
- Tri-Klops was briefly shown on screen fully painted along with the Doom Seeker and a cool energy blast accessory he comes with. He looks great, I'm expecting a February release
- 1/6th teaser offered up in an image format. One of them is 110% to be confirmed King Hiss by the image. I have no clue on the other photo (maybe Karg or Saurod? I can't seem them getting a figure before other characters though). I've attached the file to the post, if not you can find it here: Mondo Toy Talk Ep 37 - End of the Year Holiday Recap! at the 2:01:25 mark
- Teela and Orko render were shown off for 1/12th line. She looks fantastic and I'm excited to see how she translates into figure form. You can see the render at the above video at the 2:00:00 mark
That's about all that was revealed on the stream. Looks like another fantastic year of MOTU planned from Mondo. They once again mentioned the strong support the line has and Peter said that as long as they get the support they want to get to every character they can.
@admin relevant timestamps if you'd like to make a news post about it:

- Tri-Klops: 1:40:45 onwards
Hope that helps 🙂
Also Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone if I don't comment until then!!
Give me that Tri Klops right now!
Im over the flocked Panthor, waited to long and now it will be even more of a ricockulous amount of money.
Have no clue who that second silhouette is.
I also got my MEF shipping notice at the same time. Looks like the supply chain/shipping issues might be sorted out now!
MEF came 2 days ago. Finally opened him today. Love the colors, he looks great.
Love my favorites are getting checked off, Faker, MEF, Merman,Trap and now getting Triklops. They already fixed my #2 fav in Faker, wish they would do #1 Adam, i hate that vest.
And here we go again! Duncan has already been teased on social media about an imminent pre-order. My wallet has barely recovered from Skeletor — come on!
@onlyoneskeletor just you wait… Power Con just teased an Anti-Eternia, 200x He-Man exclusive. It’s on the Mondo IG page. Just a teaser, not a full reveal. Luckily, I’m not super big on variants so I’ll probably pass on it. I am convinced though that 200x Keldor will be their SDCC convention exclusive this year though
@smokinya Besides, technically speaking, AE He-Man never appeared in the cartoon show, so it's an easy one for me to skip. Keldor, however, with his melting face eaten by acid...oh man!
Not Mondo related, but I'm curious if Hot Toys will do a Nicholas Galitzine He-Man as part of their MMS line...
>>>The Power of the Good and the Way of the Magic!<<<
@onlyoneskeletor save your sheckles then my friend, I can almost guarantee 200x Keldor is a go for 2026.
@ornclown that would be pretty interesting. I wouldn’t mind them taking on a MOTU line in general, but I would prefer it to not be MMS. The movie designs, especially for the heroes aren’t great. The Evil Warriors are looking sweet in the film though.
As I keep browsing the virtual toy isles, I do see how many figure lines cost over $100, and much more.
Some of the $100 aren’t even that impressive (but import probably makes them more expensive, too).
My theory is that, during / after the Classics era, prices for stuff went up, and really, today’s $100 figure lines is the successor of the Classics, in a sense.
Not quite, we still have $65 Super 7 and $50 4Horsemen lines. But those started long ago.
But in a way, Mondo is filling some of the void that Classics left. Masterverse fills it from the other side.
Chronicles… we’ll see what that does. 😏
I also see very affordable, non-poseable figurines of anime characters. I would like something like that! Doesn’t really exist of western figures (except silly Funkparks).
I guess it’s what Altaya is doing in Europe.., but I don’t love Filmation designs enough, and the import is murder 😅
Hey everyone, resident Mondo man here back with another update from the MAA Toy Talk. As usual you'll find any relevant highlights bulleted below:
Man-At-Arms and 1/12th Scale
- MAA looks incredible. The paint apps and samples shown for the figure look out of this world. Certainly the best MAA ever produced
- When speaking about MAA's snake man portrait, Hector and Peter reiterated their love for the Snake Men and said they can't wait to get to them. Especially given their cool designs in 200x
- Peter mentioned that the 200x line is able to draw design inspiration from the toy line, tv series as well as the comic books which gives us an idea for what sort of characters they're able to produce
- Three big points they mentioned they're putting a focus on for this line is: articulation (much more articulation than 1/6th has), elevating paint applications (to show what is possible in 1/12th) and unique silhouettes. They really hammered home that they want each character to have a unique buck wherever possible instead of reusing the same humanoid body like they do for 1/6th
- Battle Cat wasn't confirmed to be in production, but Hector seemed to confirm it as a certainty for the line given that it was already done in 1/6th. 1/12 vehicles were also mentioned as a possibility
- Anti-Eternia He-Man is being produced since Val Staples specifically asked Mondo if they could make an exclusive for MOTUfest. He will be limited to 1000 units and if he doesn't sell out in pre-sale or at the show then he will go up on the Mondo site. Additionally, Hector confirmed that Mondo will be bringing an additional exclusive to MOTUfest that will be similar to their other exclusive offerings (Goddess, Faker, etc.) and be available in their traditional channels
- Mer-Man and Teela were mentioned. Production is going well, but they didn't show any samples off. Apparently they'll be up for sale in the next few months. No hints for other characters yet
1/6th Scale News
- 2026 is going to be a big year for the 1/6th line. Tri-Klops was briefly mentioned to be going up for sale soon and flocked Panthor was confirmed for 2026 again
- Other than Tri-Klops and Panthor, Peter said that there are 3-4 other figures that are in production for this year, not including the three figure silhouettes that we were shown at the end of 2025
Additional Points
- I forgot to mention that Hector and Peter said that they had dinner with the 4Horsemen at the end of 2025. This was mentioned in the 200x Skeletor Toy Talk. Apparently the 4Horsemen have been loving their work on the 200x figures and are excited to see their future figures come to life
- Hector and Peter mentioned that 200x is their favorite rendition of MOTU and they're stoked to be working on it. Its also why the 1/6th line takes a lot of inspiration from this series
That's about everything I deemed important enough to forward. Until next time!
