@onlyoneskeletor now that you mention they did sort of look like mutant rats didn't they? I need to rewatch the series again. Its been a few years since I've done a full run-through

@firmpulse its not silicone. Its soft TPE. Essentially just a softer plastic. Until I watched the Toy Talk I didn't even notice that the chest wasn't regular plastic like the rest of the figure. I think it looks fine for the most part. My only real critique is that it creates more open space between the shoulder joint and the chest piece. I see why they did it for He-Man because it does make for more available poses. I'll let you know next summer what I think about it once I have it in-hand lol

@smokinya Ok. I stand corrected. TPE. That does nothing what-so-ever to change my opinion.

I'm not completely against the use of softer materials, however, they do have a lot of drawbacks. The sculpt is essentially a 'rubber' tanktop that the plastic skeleton underneath is 'wearing' and can look off from certain angles.

Also, the gaps between soft and hard plastic are much more apparent. And if you have it scrunched in a particular pose (two hands on sword) for a while, the gaps become more apparent when 'relaxing' the arms.

And, the color difference between materials can become more noticeable over time.

Like I said, I am not completely against it - after all, many Storm Collectibles figures do the same, and I love those figures - but if I had my choice, I would prefer the same type of plastic be used throughout the figures.

...especially when you're artificially inflating prices to $100+ per figure! 😠

Green goddess has shipped. Usps, think every figure shipped within a calendar year has been shipped with a different damn company. And now we are at the bottom of the barrel with usps.

Damn…. My Buzz-Off still isn’t even shipped. I emailed Mondo and they said that there’s been some problems getting the products to Canada and some other countries. On my phone now so I can copy/paste their email response here later

Omg Mondo is bringing back BraveStarr?!?!? Sorry didn't know where else to rave! They just showed off the 1/12 200x Merman and Teela too that looks like a 2 pack with Orko.

@dgsimo Saw the Teela and Orka earlier today while watching the panel during lunch. They look great. I hope Orko gets some spells and such to display him with, but I feel like he’s be fabric with a stand and bit of articulation. He is really small so it makes sense, but also a bit disappointing. The 1/6 Orko is rad

Mondo is doing a lot of cool work. The Mothra they showed off with Urban Aztec looks fantastic and their 1/6th TMNT line looks great. But I’ll stop there so we don’t derail the topic lol.

@smokinya So, we now know what the first wave on the 2026 calendar will be. Even though I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that they won't exceed the two-wave-per-year ratio, I have a feeling they will.

@banthafett 🙁 guess I need to live vicariously through you. I’m in disbelief right now lol

@onlyoneskeletor I’m curious to see if they’ll exceed that ratio too. It will entirely depend on sales IMO. However, I could see them doing two figure waves next year and then go for a Battle Cat/Panthor release or have a couple exclusive figures like what they did for Faker and The Goddess. Personally, I want more waves. I’d prefer doing like 4-6 waves per year just so we can rapidly accumulate the cast and get to The Snake Men and Horde, but I understand that wouldn’t work for a lot of folks.

@skeledog Finally got my Buzz-Off shipping notice on Thursday last week. So I should have him in-hand sometime this week. I imagine I won't be getting The Goddess and Evil-Lyn until sometime in November. Here is what Mondo support told me when I inquired about Buzz-Off a couple weeks ago:

"Your order should ship out by the end of this week or early next. It is currently being held at a facility in China. My shipping team resolved the issues that were causing EU packages to appear shipped but remained on hold. My team is continuing to work on similar situations affecting Canada, Mexico, and other regions, ensuring items are only marked as shipped once they’re truly in transit.

These delays stem from new DHL restrictions tied to tariffs—regulations that weren’t in place less than a year ago. Our Logistics team is actively working to navigate these changes and ensure your orders are processed as quickly (and accurately) as possible.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a DHL Express tracking link (sent from NoReply.ODD@dhl.com). That email also allows you to manage delivery details—such as updating your address, removing a signature requirement, or making other adjustments—directly with DHL while your package is in transit.

I appreciate your patience as we work through these challenges."

Seems like more tariff issues. I'm assuming they're trying to navigate sending these figures around while reducing the cost as much as possible given all the developments this year. Same thing Tweeterhead is doing. I'm still waiting on the Beast Man maquette. It was delayed into May 2025 due to production delay and it still hasn't been shipped out yet as Tweeterhead are grappling with all the issues.

Frustrating for sure, but I do understand where these companies are coming from.

I just can't believe how many concessions I've had to make lately just to welcome these amazing pieces, He-Man and Clawful. But it's definitely worth it.

@smokinya A few minutes ago, I was editing my personal wish list, which is obviously related to the current Mondo 200X line. Forty-two characters resulted from combining my personal picks, taking into account a few extras who weren't seen in the cartoon but who nonetheless had their own Staction designed by the Four Horsemen (Clamp Champ, Rio Blast, Mosquitor and Jitsu). There are also additional concepts by Emiliano, such as Illumina, Might Bite and Waspus. If they manage to set six pre-orders per year, they could cover this in seven years, or maybe less if we have any convention exclusives in the meantime.

@skeledog I think the tariffs are affecting the shipping cost on the company side where their previous shipping deals are no longer valid? I have Buzz-Off in-hand now (he looks awesome) and I just got my shipping notice for Evil-Lyn and The Goddess so that's good news. At this rate I won't get my Beast-Man from Tweeterhead until 2026. I don't even think he's arrived in the US yet for their inspection.

@onlyoneskeletor Honestly, seven years is pretty good to cover that many characters. The 1/6th line has been around for just about 10 years now. The only cartoon characters that I want are Evil Seed and Marzo. Then I just want them to do the original line of characters in the 200x style (Snake Men, OG Evil Horde, etc.). I don't want characters like Carnivus and Dekker to get figures before any of the other more important ones.

@smokinya Of course, we'll just have to wait and see, but the only reason I opted for an enlarged selection in the process was because of the hint that Emiliano Santalucia shared on social networks a few weeks ago. Specifically, he said something like: 'If Illumina could be made, there would be no better opportunity'. Since she's not seen in the cartoon, which is supposed to be the manufacturer's strict focus, maybe there's a glimmer of hope? However, I have a feeling that characters like her would be more likely to be sold at current prices than Kulataks, Ceratus, Carnivus, etc. I mean, they're definitely cool, but as a hardcore fan myself, I'd definitely think twice about buying them in such a sensitive context. Illumina, however...

@onlyoneskeletor Do we know for a fact that Mondo's license only covers characters specifically seen in the cartoon? Or have they just said that their focus is on getting characters from the show made? I'm actually not entirely sure on that. I found it telling because when they released the Deluxe Scare Glow they said it would be the final 1/6th Scare Glow figure from Mondo, but seemed to hint that it wouldn't be the last time they do a Scare Glow.

In other news I got my Goddess and Evil-Lyn figure on Thursday last week. So the only 1/6th scale figure still on order for me is Man-E-Faces and then we'll be all caught up! I'm hoping we seen a sneak peek of Tri-Klops' mold at Designer Con this weekend.

Quick sidebar for everyone here: I'm looking to potentially offload my 1/6th Classic Variant Scareglow figure. Here is the a link to the Mondo product page: Scareglow 1/6 Scale - Classic Variant – Mondo

Current eBay listings have him placed at about $350ish USD. I'm just looking for cost plus shipping. So basically $220 USD and whatever it takes to get him to you. This figure has never been opened and box is in perfect condition, non-smoking household. I can get photos as well of course.

I know that we have an official buy and sell section on the site, but figured I'd mention it here instead. I'd rather send him to a good home instead of popping it on eBay. Apologies if this type of thing isn't allowed to be discussed in discussion threads.

Random question …

I got the Mondo Evil-lyn and I am trying to figure out how to put her on the stand. The metal gripper part seems way to tight/small for her waist. I’m afraid the stand is going to damage the figure.

but also afraid she’ll fall off the shelf with no stand.

any tips?

I think Mondo's intent with this stand is for it to go around Lyn's thigh.

I tested it out on mine, and it holds her quite nicely, especially because the base is much wider than past stands.

However, I keep her in a glass display cabinet and don't really need the stand... and I worry that the black rubber on the stand arms will transfer onto her leg. (Most likely it wouldn't, but you never know.)

If you want to be extra certain and know that she is totally secure, I'd check out some 1:6 after-market display stands. There are some really nice ones out there that work really well. I prefer the type that come up under the crotch over the ones that pinch the waist... I feel that they are more discreet.

Skeletor 200X appeared on Mondo's Facebook page twenty minutes ago. Apparently, pre-orders are expected to start on 9 December. There has been no sign of Duncan so far, but I suppose it's only a matter of minutes. Regarding the lord of evil, I'm surprised they chose not to display him with both his white skull and cape, just as he is designed in the MYP cartoon. It's the kind of omission that would make me think twice.

@onlyoneskeletor Damn… beat me to it. The Instagram post has more info. He has one yellow skull and then he has 3 white skull portraits. One neutral, one angrier face and then one silly face. Additionally, the pre-order window will be open for 4 weeks starting December 9. Lots of cool pictures of him as well. He looks great. Comes with a flaming Havoc staff too.

Regarding MAA, Mondo has made comments on their IG post stating that they’re pushing the release date of MAA back by a bit to give people some breathing room between releases. Probably a smart idea as well since Christmas is coming up and funds are tighter for some folks. I know a lot of people weren’t happy that Buzz-Off had a December pre-order last year. I am shocked that we aren’t getting another 1/6th figure pre-order before year end though.

@admin wanted to tag you AJ so you can have some extra info for your post you’ll be making. Especially regarding MAA since it’s only stated in the IG comment discussion and not their post.
