I’ve just come to accept that upon death, Mondo and Tweeterhead will most likely still owe me product. Especially since I won’t stop giving them money knowing I want see anything for almost a year. But when they do arrive…. wow!
By the way, isn't this supposed to be the month that puts an end to the unbearable suspense? The price of the first wave of 200X MOTU figures? I'm nervous for so many reasons.
Mondo has just teased images for their upcoming Masters of the Universe "200X" 1:12 Scale action figures HE-MAN and CLAWFUL (which is a sign pre-orders for these figures will be accepted soon.)
We have the Power!
@skeledog the delay doesn’t have much to do with the Funko situation. Probably production issues or delays from that side. On top of that I’ve been keeping a close eye on the Funko stock and it has actually be on the rise these past couple months.
As AJ said 200x was just teased. It’s likely that we’ll have a price by next Tuesday. Hopefully it’s something decent so a lot of the folks on the fence can get in on it!
If they price these little figures right, they could sell a ton. They need to be very careful with pricing in the current climate and be sure to factor in any fees and shipping.
Did they ever address why their free shipping disappeared right when they added their tariff fees? That priced me out of Man-E-Faces and She-ra…

It was never addressed, but I think its safe to say that the rising shipping costs started to cut into their profit margins. Therefore, they needed to pass those costs onto their customers. I mentioned it a few pages back, but I'll reiterate it here: most toy lines only net 10-20% after all expenses are paid. Its not like they're making and shipping these figures for a cost of $10 and making $250 a figure. That's just not the reality of the situation with ANY toyline let alone a smaller collector line like this.
Tweeterhead is in a similar scenario right now. My Beast Man was supposed to ship last fall and it still hasn't shipped yet either. There were production delays that pushed it into spring 2025 and then the tariffs hit and it was delayed further. In Tweeterheads case they stated that they don't want to pass costs onto their customers so they've been working to try and get a shipping line going that won't result in them getting hosed on each maquette when they do bring them over.
The issue with toy production is that all the expertise comes from China. Figures aren't necessarily made there because they're cheap, but because their workers have the skills to be able to produce these things. With tariff's and shipping charges I'm guessing these figures 1/12 figures will be creeping up in price. I just hope that the price isn't too egregious to help ensure the line takes off. We had years worth of figures with no shipping costs. Hopefully, if things die down on the tariff side we can get back there eventually.
My Evil-lyn delayed to October now. Dang it Mondo.
Same.... ugh.
The whole Funko / Mondo situation is making me nervous... I really hope this all pans out well for fans. (Especially considering they keep pushing new products...)

I expect the 200x figs to be a hundy easy

A ponzi scheme is when they pay current stuff off with money the get for future stuff. I bet my left nut thats whats goin on
A week has passed since they teased us with the new Motu line, so the official announcement of the preorder for the first wave could come at any time.
@skeledog sticking to my guns on He-Man being $90 and Clawful being $110. I still haven't got my Buzz-Off shipping notice yet 🙁
@onlyoneskeletor I'm shocked that we haven't had a price announcement yet. At this point they'll probably be announcing it next Tuesday
They will put them on po the same time mattel has she ra and what ever the other item is few days later. These companies love to pile shit at same time to miss out on sales.
@smokinya A few more hours to validate your estimation (lol). Seriously though, as far as I'm concerned, this is one of those defining situations. The veil is being removed for good, and—boom! Yes? No? Whatever the answer is, it's unquestionable.
Oh, wow! The preorder announcement was finally related to the Over the Garden Wall figures. Are we really being asked to wait another week?
[EDIT: They are finally listed on Mondo's website! He-Man ($115) and Clawful ($125). The preorder has yet to be set, though.
@onlyoneskeletor beat me to the punch, was just about to post about it. Slight correction to your post though
He-Man Standard: $95
He-Man Timed Deluxe: $115
Clawful Timed Deluxe (no standard): $125
Looks like I was fairly close with my guesses. I imagine Skeletor will also get a standard version. I doubt MAA will though. It’s nice that they’re offering a decent discount on the He-Man though. $20 is about 18% of the times deluxe
Prices seem in line with what folks were expecting. I thought they seemed decent too but everyone is also saying with shipping and fees they're going to end up around $160 to $180...that'd be a nope for me. lol
@smokinya In a way, it's nice to have a good reason to come back later when they'll finally offer a King Grayskull. Oh, wait! I don't have this character. I bought the standard version of He-Man (LOL)!
Yikes!! way too pricey.
does the Power Sword not pivot? The $7 Mattel one did 20 years ago.
didn't they show swappable chest plates earlier? So you could do the iron cross or the asterisk?
If they tack on tariff and shipping charges, I’m definitely out.
I like the look of my NECA Clawful staction better anyway.
@dgsimo So much for shipping and etc? What about taxes?
Yeah this is not my price range, gorgeous as they are.
Finally a 200x He-Man that looks as big and ripped as the cartoon. And Clawful is spectacular though almost a bit much…
Now that the 1:6 figures are well over $200 plus shipping etc, this offers another tier to interested consumers who can’t quite swing that. Or an additional line for those who can.
It is absolutely high-end, but yeah, as with the Snake Lair, no can do.
Wasn’t getting into this line because i hate the 200x weapons, at least they fixed the hunchback of heman. Even though he looks like a pinhead on that huge body.
I think those who were on the fence before prices announced and think they aren’t bad are going to hop back over after they see tariffs and shipping tacked on. Mondo charges way to much for shipping. And youll never see a refund of those tariffs fees if they magically disappear before items ship.
Then those who get into this line but never jumped on the 1/6 will join the club of bitching (proud member) of po after po and nothing in hand.

Yeah there's shipping, taxes and then tariff fees for US customers so these will likely be close to $200 which at that point....I'd might as well just go the extra and get back into their 1/6 stuff. Lol
I'm sure Mondo did what they could and even cut some accessories to keep costs down but the fees is what's killing it. I'll have to pass. There's just too much other stuff coming next year to spend nearly $400 on 2 figures.
@banthafett As tempting as it may be, I'm not fooled. I'll wait for the "newness effect" to wear off before facing the new reality. In other words, I can't fully open my arms to another lineup given what I've amassed (MOTUC, Masterverse, and Origins), but I'm seriously considering getting a few figures back that I resold two years ago (Faceless One, Evil-Lyn, and Grayskull), as well as independent villains like Marzo and Prahvus, should they be made again. Naturally, if the sum total is excessive...
And just like i mentioned before when you guys were wondering when these go on sale. The same day that mattel is selling a more expensive item from the same franchise. These companies just cant help themselves getting in the way of each other. Its total bullshit. Mattel could put foot down and say., we do ours today, you start yours next week. (Yes i know mondo will have it up longer) but the issue is that it is multiple purchases at time frame, and it also takes away from the excitement (if this stuff even excites anymore) from one item to the next. This is how shit gets ran into the ground, then they wonder why they dont sell as many as they thought they would.
