When I was a kid I seriously disliked TP He-Man. He was bulky and awkward and quite frankly, ugly. I couldn’t believe they would make their flagship character look like that. However, when Origins put him in the standard buck with removable armor, he’s now my favorite variant. I love the design and the colors really pop. I picked up a pair of Masterverse TP arm bands on eBay to see if they’d fit on Origins. Initially, they wouldn’t but with a little heat they slid on without much problem (not damaging the plastic. Once they were on I cooled them in water. They look great and the colors match well. However, when I cooled the arm bands plastic they really gripped the biceps and are pretty tight. The arm elbow joint works well with the hinge. Definitely
I didn't like Thunder Punch He-Man neither as a kid. I hated all that bright red. It felt like He-Man was wearing a big stop sign on his chest. If it ain't broke don't fix it but it's funny, I prefer the harness but I don't hate your pic. Maybe it's growing on me too. Lol
Looks good dude
That’s a fun idea and he looks good!
TP He-Man was not available where I grew up back then, I did see him in cross sell art and he was very intriguing. You didn’t see that he had a different build there, I just saw the different armor, the nice white fur rim on his boots,… I did like this “upgraded” version. Even if it was just because of the mystery.
I finally got a vintage figure a few years ago, after seeing him online.
I actually find the Origins version a bit less special. The bulkier look of the vintage makes him bigger and more powerful to me 😃
I do like all these versions though. Basic He-Man and Battle Armor are the classics, fitting into the early Alcala world.
But the other armors fit well into the more expansive version of MOTU.
