Of course it's some dipshit in California. But if the Mer-Man's are supposed to be going to Walmart, how the hell could they get them? Stolen right off the cargo ship???
There are a lot of VC Men-At-Arms on EBay these days… I hope that means they will become more widely available… But you never know.
A lot of this also depends on whether or not Mattel has totally abandoned Masterverse altogether...

I’ve felt they have certainly reduced their efforts for this line, for a while now… And now their focus will definitely be on Chronicles.A lot of this also depends on whether or not Mattel has totally abandoned Masterverse altogether...
There’s been no marketing or real enthusiasm for MV, (outside of Roy Juarez’ Insta), the production runs seem low,…
They have promised there are some last figures in the pipeline, so there’s that. But they have not promised they’d be easy to get 😅
On the plus side, I do feel for the past few waves, the head honchos just let the designers do whatever they wanted, since it didn’t “matter” in the long run…
So we kinda benefitted from that in a way, by getting some real bangers, and some new characters in the line. The latter had been severely lacking before.
Double jointed neck that can look straight up? Um....that's what Dragstor needed. And every flying character like Stratos, Vykron & Buzz-Off.
@sci-fitsunami Let's just look to the future, shall we? Dragstor and Buzz-Off can still be added as revamped "Vintage Collection" figures under the Chronicles umbrella. Oh, and the thigh cut won't miss me either.

I just got Dragstor. I just blew close to $30 on him. He's brand new & current. I'm looking at the present. And he's a character Mattel doesn't make often. I'm not holding my breath for another one anytime soon. Buzz-Off? Maybe. It's been a while since we got the last one. But a new Dragstor so soon? Nah!
But I know how to customize/kitbash so I already fixed his neck with my Dremel. One little groove/cut to the back of his neck & now the ball joint goes all the way back so he can look straight up. The designers at Mattel are friggin idiots for not making such an easy & obvious modification.

Agreed, 100%
To be totally transparent, it isn't so much the fact that Masterverse is ending that upsets me... it's really just the IDEA of Masterverse ending that worries the hell out of me.
I love (read: L-O-V-E) the idea of having a line where "anything" goes. Meaning, characters from Filmation can mingle with those from New Adventures. Characters from the 1987 film can fight alongside those from the vintage toyline... the beautiful artistry behind New Eternia / Etheria was a stroke of genius. Completely revamped designs for classic characters made me want to rebuy folks I already bought five times over!
Truly... seeing Anti-Eternia He-Man and Keldor, from New Eternia, standing next to each other on my shelf always makes me smile.
Will this "Inaugural" line even consider long-shots like Keldor? Slush Head? Viking Skeletor??
I really, really hope so.

Interesting. Apparently, a Motu-oriented offer is planned for March 19th: a "Creation Exclusive Design." It's likely that it will be about the new Scarglow figure. How exciting!

Or could it be that Core gold Skeletor?
Hmmm... It's a possibility, but judging by how rarely bigger-sized and premium figures were offered via this venue lately, I'd stick with my guess. Not to mention, it's been promoted pretty actively these past few days.Interesting. Apparently, a Motu-oriented offer is planned for March 19th: a "Creation Exclusive Design." I really hope you're wrong because it would be better if he floods the stores with the rest of Chronicles. That way we can army build him easily. And possibly get some on clearance eventually. I have 5 or 6 Revelation Scare Glows to use as ghost skeleton warriors & I wanna do the same with this new one.
Army-building skeletons are probably the easiest thing for a toy collector to settle on nowadays. Come on! There are so many manufacturers producing them that one can no longer count them. So why negatively impact Scareglow's charisma with this kind of maneuver? In my opinion, he should rule over lackeys with less attractive designs. But, of course, to each their own!

I'm buying multiples so I hope they are readily available at Target, Walmart, Amazon & BBTS. The figure is too damn cool to only buy 1.

BBTS is the best solution for me...I guess it will be around 25 $
Wow I’ve missed a lot. So let me get this straight… They gave us countless Teela’s, Man at arms, Mer-man etc… What exactly is the point dropping Masterverse for another line?
Also I just saw the movie figures, someone thought they looked good? I want to vomit
I hope the MC drop will be Origins, something like Gray or Eldor.
This new Scare Glow could originally be meant for Masterverse New Eternia but put in a Chronicles box at the last minute just to go along with the movie year. It doesn't make any sense why they would make the new movie figures 6" if they're keeping 7". They didn't make the '87 movie figures 6" so why make the new movie figures incompatible with already existing figures?
NEED MORE INFO!
YES! We need clarification. If they have ended 7" altogether it doesn't make much sense to spend beaucoups of bucks on new tooling they aren't going to use. It's a COMPLETELY different articulation scheme than Masterverse. OR did they "soft kill" MV in order to roll out Chron with a completely new artic-system yet similar styling so it doesn't look totally off next to MV figs?
I'm torn on this. I like both but I think this new black body style would work better for a Skeleton Warrior army builder. I think the black body with highlighted bones works better than the original version with the weird black paint patterns over clear plastic. But I love the original style & this new version kind of feels like a totally different character. So I'm split right down the middle 50/50. Just give me both! It would be perfect if they also gave us the original style in the Vintage Collection.
Call me crazy...BUT...I would be cool with all glow body with BLACK BONES...except for the skull. Have it be just cast in GITD plastic. They could support this design rationale in his backstory by writing it as he was put to death via guillotine then his head was burned then pullverized as part of The Curse (too dark?) That would "explain" why his head was GITD and his bones black. It works and sounds cool. Well...I think it sounds cool, anyway.
Honestly, I think this hobby is dead! It is now only for rich pricks. I mean, this figure would be awesome to go into your Masterverse collection. Like a Masterverse version of the Skel-Knight from the Origins 4-pack. I wanted to order it until I saw that price. $70 for an 8.75" figure from MCFARLANE??? McFarlane used to be affordable. WTF happened??? Printing "Elite Edition" on the box justifies an extra $40 or $50? Man, I'm on my way out of this hobby. Enough is enough!

LMAO! Some think they look good. Some are just caught up in the hype, *the latest shiny thing*. Some will get hit by FOMO. And some think they look terrible. While we are all trying to figure out exactly WTF Mattel is up to? Masterverse ending? Or is it just on pause? 6" going forward? Or will we still be getting more 7"? And WTF is Walmart doing with the Vintage Collection?
Nobody knows what's going on exactly. All we can do is wait for SDCC & see what Mattel reveals. And maybe that Mattel Reveal event but I'm not holding my breath for that. They'll probably just reveal stuff we have already seen.
Dropping Masteverse for another line is just another attempt to draw in a whole new generation of children that don't care about toys. lol And possibly shrinkflation, 1" smaller for the same price.
@he-dad lol thank man. I got transferred for work last year and it’s been a nightmare. On top of that it’s basketball with my boys and my daughter does dance and ice skating. I had literally no down time. I get home and immediately fall asleep

Damn. I've been there.

So, basically also what Classics was, though I guess Classics was one consistent style, for all eras. MV is even different styles, for different eras,… yes everything and anything is possible.
Considering the name “Chronicles”, I have also expected a catch-all line, but how far they push it is anyone’s guess.
This one might even have different sizes… my current guess is, “real life” inspired sizes for the new movie figures, “heroic 7in” for … everything else? Still could all fit together… we still don’t know!
