Does anyone have tips or tricks to getting Masterverse Mantenna’s eyes out without scratching or damaging the figure?
I know the faceplate comes off, but those eyeballs are still in there deep!
Yes:
1. Soak the head in warm water to soften it up a bit.
2. Use something metal like a flathead screwdriver or handle of a spoon or fork. Slide it in behind the eye & pry/push the eye forward until it pops out.
3. After you get the eyes out use a X-Acto knife & shave off those stupid nubs on the peg that make them get stuck in. If you look at the pegs on the face plate they are totally smooth but they hold the faceplate in perfectly. The pegs on the eyes should be smooth too.
@sci-fitsunami When you look at the front news page, there’s a new Chronicles Scare Glow, which seems not from the movie, and he’s a bit TALLER than the MV Revelation Scare Glow! (But pretty much in scale with MV).
Really surprising, after all the hoopla and anguish they caused.
You can read more in those comments and the Chronicles thread, but it’s possible Chronicles has two scales (only movie figures are smaller).
Don’t get bummed out by some YouTubers and their comments… just stay here 😉

So this new Scare Glow is regular Masterverse size? That's awesome! Hopefully they haven't completely given up on 7".
But at the same time, wasn't there a rumored Vintage Collection Scare Glow? I've been hoping for a classic styled glow in the dark body Scare Glow like the original & Classics. If this is the only Scare Glow we're getting then I'm a little disappointed. I've been hoping for a fully glow in the dark Scare Glow since the 1st Revelation version.

From memory they had hinted at him for Masterverse before we'd actually heard the Chronicles name (as they tend to do) but I might be wrong.
I mean, it’s possible something got confused with the prediction / leak about Masterverse Scare Glow, considering the size of this Chronicles humdinger…
The MV Vintage Collection is only doing the earliest figures– so far! Meanwhile, the regular MV waves seem to be done… so how / where would a supposed MV SG come out?
But nowadays, anything and everything is possible lol We had two classic MV Teelas in a row 🤷 We have a golden First Ones Skeletor. All bets are off. MOTU is Crazy rn !
P.S. @Sci-Fi Tsunami I hear ya about a GitD Scare Glow… would love it. On the other hand, the sculpted bones are really cool, too. Judging from the recent MV Moss Man, MV (and Chr?) prioritizes a sophisticated sculpt over any special materials / action features…
They could simply take this new Scare Glow mold & recast it in GITD plastic & release it in Vintage Collection. They have the molds. But they would probably never even think of that.
''inaugural edition'' part is bugging me...what do you fellas think ? is it 1 and done ? they did only Scare Glow in Masterverse scale and they will be back to 5.5 scale or you see this thing going? the box is different than the movie figures Chronicles/Core box, it kinda reminds me at NE box, idk why...with the art on the side, teasing the classic looking prince Adam and Cringer...I will buy this SG 4 sure

Got my Mattel Creations order today. I was afraid they might send me 2 New Eternia Teela's. lol
I called them about this Vintage Collection mystery but as usual, they didn't know anything about anything. I hope they get Man-At-Arms & Mer-Man eventually.

If the improvement is marginal, I am thinking of skipping her. So many Teelas already (including a slightly ghtoy beat up Classics one).
@Cosmic I would say yes. I was finally able to compare them & they are a lot more different than I originally thought. I like the heads that come with the vintage, but I prefer the body from the New Eternia. And I prefer the metallic gold weapons from New Eternia over the vintage maroon. The bodies are completely different.

I'm not sure this version of Scare Glow would work as part of the vintage collection. This new figure has custom molded pieces with protruding bones on his arms, legs and torso... the vintage version of SG is just a standard buck with painted bones over the body...
While I think this new figure is badass (and I WILL be getting him!), I would prefer if the vintage version is just a glow-in-the-dark MV buck 2.0 with painted designs on top. Campy, but cool.

Interesting that the accessories are so different! Will kill this over– don’t really want to buy figures ist to get a better head, but the differences would provide me with some fun variation…
With the recent news, the virtual event in March is even more highly anticipated. We may learn more about this Chronicles line and how they plan to release it over the course of a year, for example. Not to mention information about size and scale for those who are still confused.
@Ornclown Well, yeah, they could recast any buck in GITD plastic. Just use the Vintage Skeletor. JUST DO SOMETHING MATTEL! We need a proper Scare Glow that actually, you know, GLOWS!!!
@Cosmic I forgot to take pics of the different sized ponytails. Do you need a pic of them or have you seen the difference in the Youtube reviews? I prefer the longer hair from the New Eternia head.

there is no VC Mer Man on Ebay, believe it or not...you can find Man At Arms though
@Yen They're probably all piled up in a warehouse somewhere. Just gonna have to wait it out. If there's none on eBay that means not too many made out into the public. When was the actual release date?
Whoever WSI Toys & Collectibles is seems to be a licensed Mattel reseller out of California, because they have a ton of Mattel merch on eBay and sold the 68 VC Mer-Men they had very quickly at $65 a pop!

@ornclown He's supposed to be made available next April, so despite this figure's high attractiveness, I decided it would be much more cautious (especially for my wallet) to observe the overall situation and how available he may be in my territory. For example, the only VC character France had difficulty acquiring was Zodac; the rest of them were distributed in almost every online store. Waiting game ...
