And speaking of Dragstor, have you bought the Masterverse version? He's not generally a character I feel strongly about, but that figure is just superb - I love him!
I have 2 & will probably order 1 or 2 more. I am customizing one of them & will be making a video soon.
Dragstor, Mantenna & Mosquitor are absolutely phenomenal figures. Masterverse was just reaching it's full potential. That's why I am so pissed off at them canceling it & this whole movie fiasco. I hope it truly is just "paused" and not completely over. I NEED to see what Masterverse Rio-Blast & King Hiss would look like.

exactly...it's like watching perfect movie but you cannot see the ending...it sucks...the best figures are the ones that are left, IMO at least, but I am sure a lot of you will agree...man, I would do anything just to see Hiss and snakes

I know I won't touch that crap, not only cause of the Masterverse, but I really don't like the figures...frankly, even if the figures were some next level stuff, I would pass, how many times should I buy the same sh.t, just labeled and packaged differently...
I'm curious to see how the Chronicles Battle Cat fits with Origins. If it works, that's the only thing I'll touch.

I was so pissed off with the way they ended 200x I didn't touch Classics. So I have no idea how it ended. I went back years later & bought a few, mostly the POP girls. So somebody else will have to answer that one.
I wish Classics Scare Glow was more affordable. If they don't release him in the Vintage Collection (rumored) with a proper glow in the dark body, I will have to fork over $200 for the Classics.
This is where Mattel is really stupid. They know how popular Scare Glow is so he should be released as often as Man-At-Arms. Why isn't he in with the most popular core characters they always release constantly like Beast-Man, Mer-Man, Tri-Klops & Trap Jaw?
Are you guys Club Grayskull members? Because they just posted a preview video for the Reveal event. They asked what you want to see revealed so I replied with this:
I only care about MASTERVERSE. I NEED Rio-Blast & King Hiss. If Masterverse is truly canceled then I'm never touching MOTU again except for Classics. Because Classics did the most important thing, it covered all the characters. Something you don't seem to be able to handle anymore. You keep starting new lines while never finishing the old ones. You pissed me off with the way you handled 200x & now it looks like you're doing it all over again.
You can take your movie garbage & shove it. NEW ETERNIA & the VINTAGE COLLECTION are the only things that matter!
I am not Club Grayskull member(they don't ship to my country so there' no point), but I agree with everything you wrote, from A to Z... I think you did a FATALITY with the last part :), you gonna piss them off, they will never continue MV 🙂 ...I am with you 100%
Disappointed is probably an understatement. Do Mattel have some aversion to actually completing anything? Seems to me, they released many sublines that they dropped the ball on the ones that matter. NE was fantastic. I really thought this would be the line to replace Classics. It would have been nice if they could at least complete the original line up of figures.

I think Club Grayskull is stupid & pointless. You don't really get anything with it, just permission to order certain figures. The only reason I joined is because of that crazy sale they had during the holidays. I got Origins Despara & Sharella for $8 each. So they basically gave me the stupid membership for free.
So now I can get on their forum just to bitch about the movie & the horrible way they're handling Masterverse. 🤣

There's no point in getting excited about it. They'll just cancel the orders. Every single VC Masterverse figure I have ordered from Walmart has been canceled.

Two words: New Adventures
Although Classics will probably remain the best and most comprehensive line of MOTU figures ever, there are a few decisions that left me a bit cranky.
I'll skip the list of nits to pick and just say that character distribution was all over the place. The inclusion of unnecessary figures like The Fighting Foe Men and 30th Anniversary really turned me off...
But, it was the total disregard for The New Adventures of He-Man that really rubbed my rhubarb. Mattel had the gal to release a completely separate "Club 200X" before completing the vintage NA lineup?!? (A theme that persists to this day...) Seriously, there is no love for my friends from the Tri-Solar System coming from Mattel headquarters.
In short, while there are others, the most glaring omissions from MOTUC are:
- Artilla
- Kayo
- Vizar
- Nocturna
- Spinwit
- Lizorr
- Hoove
- Butthead
- Staghorn
- Sagitar
These ten figures were all a part of the vintage NA lineup and never got made. ALL of vintage PoP and MOTU (including the Snakemen and Horde) got made... but not New Adventures... sigh.

@Yen Basically a CHEAP/LAZY mashup of the 2 from the first wave, Zodac & Faker. I'm not really interested in Wundar because I made a custom of him over 2 years ago.
Watching this video again is weird because I totally don't remember actually making it. I still have him, but I don't remember making him. Like, where the hell did I get the extra 40th He-Man head? I must've bought just the head off eBay but I can't remember anything about making it. lol
Now I have learned that sanding everything before painting with fine grit will give the wet paint micro scratches in the plastic to grab as it dries. This video annoys me, I suck at talking on camera, can't think of anything to say. I will reshoot this video when I get the VC version & do a comparison.
I still prefer the shoulder pads & gun holster from the New Eternia Zodac. VC Wundar will be a step backwards just like VC Zodac was.

They've been hinting strongly at NA for Origins but it's obviously unlikely to happen properly for MV now. I want all of it, the designs are phenomenal.
The guy says CHRONICLES IS THE NEW DIRECTION OF MOTU. MOTU is now a 6" scale GI Joe Classified copycat line. So "paused" probably does mean canceled/over. Unless we can get a petition or group outrage going. Remember, they plan this out 2 or 3 years in advance. So Masterverse is dead just when it was really getting good. And the future of Vintage Collection is anybody's guess.
@sci-fitsunami first, nice job with custom Wundar...can you do King Hiss and Rattlor maybe 🙂 as for this guy's body language reading skills, idk, it's a stretch, who knows, time will tell, however, he is right about one thing...petition or kick-starter or whatever he said near the end of his video is nice idea actually, I think Cosmic mentioned it few weeks ago...we can write posts and rants how bad Mattel is or we can do something...this day and age, I'm quite certain something can be done

I might be able to make a King Hiss, there are lot of 3D printed snake heads on eBay. I already bought one. I would want to make him oversized probably using a Whiplash body as a base. Rattlor would probably be the same, using a Whiplash body. But I have a ton of other stuff I'm trying to get finished first.
I was thinking, maybe make 2 versions of King Hiss, use the regular smaller buck for his human form & the larger Whiplash for his true crazy-ass snake form?

Is it just because Chronicles reminds people of Scott Neitlich a bit too much?

It's the scale difference, Chronicles is smaller and it wouldn't take long to at least complete the OG vintage line in Masterverse. And yet once again it looks like Mattel is lying about a line being 'paused'.
It would have been the easiest thing in the world to rebrand Masterverse as Chronicles and carry on as before. Then the new movie figures would be in scale with everything people already owned. Including the 1987 movie figures!

@thenate MoTU's equivalent to hell would be:
being stuck on MattyCollector, forced to eat up the feedback loop of having to rush to buy a toy you know will be scalped on the aftermarket, and then having to deal with the repercussions of not being able to simply access a toy on a retail shelf.
