But really MV has many other places to go… bummed if they totally phase it out. If we see non-movie figures in Chronicles, I’d say it’s pretty much game over.

Have you seen the latest news? The director of the MOTU movie just said that Skeletor is the embodiment of toxic masculinity.
So we have:
1. Race-swapping which is an automatic "HELL NO!" for me.
2. Pronouns. I thought the HE/HIM thing was funny. Playing on HE/MAN.
3. And now we have "Toxic Masculinity" which should piss off every male. And males make up majority of the fanbase.
So no matter how you feel about this, either way it's going to keep a lot of butts out of the theaters. For me personally, I can ignore 2 & 3. But that 1st one is the deal breaker. I don't tolerate race or gender swapping. I didn't like what they did to King Grayskull & Andra in Revelation, I hated what they did to Starbuck & Boomer in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica & am 100% rejecting black Man-At-Arms & Tri-Klops. There is just no reason for it. It doesn't benefit anybody at all. I don't understand it.
So this movie might be DOA. Only time will tell. I know I won't be going to see it, but I never go to the movies anymore anyway.

There's been so many unnecessary mistakes with this movie and the merch (and we're still months away from release) that I think only He-Man and Skeletor will really sell. Especially if the movie struggles. Every outlet you can think of has run with 'toxic masculinity' as a headline and every comment section is filled with people now rejecting the film. Knight has kneecapped that movie for so many who might have given it a chance. All told, don't be surprised if the merch hits discount stores rather early, especially since it's arriving months before it's biggest advert!

Honestly, the New Adventures of He-Man could be its own line altogether... I haven't even mentioned the concept characters and unproduced figures... not to mention others like Alcon, Gepple, Krex, Meldoc, Gleep, Ur, etc....

If something doesn't change soon with Walmart either getting more stock online or getting them into my store, it looks like I'm gonna have to pay eBay scalper prices for the Vintage Collection Teela, Man-At-Arms and Mer-Man. I don't understand how they got a ton of Faker, Zodac & Stratos but not enough of the others. Shouldn't they have the same amount of every character? Man-At-Arms & Teela are that much more popular? It's not like it's the first time those characters have been made so WTF?

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on NE Moss Man; had to order Blast Attack anyway, and that way I could at least save on shipping. Still bummed they didn't flock him, but the sculpt looks awesome at least.
@lasastard Regarding Moss Man, it is indeed wiser to focus on the figure's sculpt instead of the final details of its execution. The efforts invested in this revamped prototype are impressive.

It might actually be the other way around because Mattel somehow got plenty of them to the UK, even in Northern Ireland. They weren't marked up so they weren't imports.
It's probably difficult to know if its Mattel not delivering the number of figures promised, or Walmart accepting pre-orders beyond the number of guaranteed figures. Maybe they simply assume that a fraction of pre-orders will be cancelled anyway - and don't want to get stuck with additional inventory. I personally try to stick with my pre-orders, but it's probably not uncommon for people to cancel pre-orders when they can get hold of a figure some other place and sooner.

Flocking figures is actually super easy. I flocked my Revelation Moss-Man and my custom made from the 2nd Beast-Man.
@lasastard I’ve seen a number of photos on reddit of Teela having been purchased or seen on shelves over the past 2 months - I don’t believe Walmart is truly out of stock.
My Walmart just doesn’t have a well stocked toy section, haven’t ever seen any MOTU.

A Walmart exclusive yet over 60 somehow end up on eBay from 1 seller. And these A-hole collectors buy every single one of them which encourages this behavior. They are giving these eBay pricks 2 thumbs up.

But after TOG Mer-Man & Moss-Man, the Vintage Collection may be forever stuck to Walmart. And because of that, I don't know if I should wait or try to get them ASAP? I am normally 100% against supporting scalpers. But Walmart basically tells us that we MUST buy them from scalpers. They are not really "Walmart exclusives" they are "eBay exclusives".
