So First Ones is the movie figures Origins scaled at 5.5 inch.

Then you've got Chronicles scaled at 6 inch (even though he keeps saying 7). Because reasons?

I noticed that too....

However:

It clearly states 6 inches.

Yeah, if 7 inch scale is done, Mattel is going to save me a lot of money. I’m not going in on a 6 inch line.

''While there are still Masterverse action figures in the pipeline for 2026, we will be transitioning our core offering to Chronicles later this year,” a Mattel representative told He-Man.org. “We will, however, also have a number of special releases planned within the Masterverse Vintage Collection.''

So we will get more Masterverse figures in 2026...OK, that's something, but if there are more MV figures, where are they ? why they didn't announce anything yet? come on, give us what we want, bring it now, make it rain in 2026, you can release 15 figures easy, complete the main roster at least...I am not sure how can Chronicles replace MV...what does that mean? Also, why launch Vintage Collection just so you can release few figures...makes no sense...

So? What I've predicted a few months ago seems to get sadly confirmed; which is a "première "regarding that type of transparency from their part. But anyways, as I said a few posts earlier, see them pushing the MV VC and possibly NE should be a no brainer to them. Now the selection MUST BE ( not negociable here): Dragon Blaster Skeletor as ultimate variant figure, the whole remaining batch of Snakemen (King Hsss included of course!). As for the VC : Evil-Lyn, Beast Man and Ram-Man.

'We know there's uncertainty out there already. So here's some more.'

IF Chronicles isn't an inch smaller than Masterverse that's all they have to say. But it sounds like starting all over again for morons, frankly, after 4 years of total mismanagement and stringing people along. Like the best you can say about Masterverse so far is it plugged some Classics gaps for people. Otherwise it didn't complete a single team, not even the Horde or Snakemen. That's pretty much worthless in collecting terms.

I thought Mattel had a pretty good thing going with the New Eternia / Etheria figures.

A line of figures that had a new take on many fan-favorite characters... guys like Sy-Klone, Ninjor, Dragstor, and AE He-Man are incredible.

It's a shame we won't get any more deep cuts in this line.

Also, New Adventures MV characters = 3 total figures. Not surprising, but also surprising considering how well the MV style lends itself to NA.

well, we all have our own favorites : Snakemen, of course, all of them...I'd really like Modulok, Multi Bot, Saurod, Extendar, Rio Blast...I can't do this...

GOD DAMN SON OF A BITCH!!!

I have an aversion/hatred towards the 6" scale. I don't know why. I can't explain it. But I just HATE the 6" scale. It turns me off for some reason. So now Masterverse is over & ruined. My hopes of getting all the Snakeman & all the POP girls are in the toilet. If I could have seen the future I wouldn't have even started collecting it. I would have stuck with Classics.

I'll see if there's anything interesting for Masterverse in 2026, but I'm expecting more He-Man, Skeletor, Beast-Man & Man-At-Arms variants. 2026 will probably be a ton of unwanted core characters AGAIN.

I would've been happier if they said Masterverse is going to be a Mattel Creations exclusive from now on, not phased out completely.

I still blame Origins. A lot of fans have put all their money into Origins & never even bought Masterverse. Things would have been a lot different if Origins & Masterverse weren't released side by side. Just imagine if every MOTU fan only had Masterverse to choose from. Masterverse was supposed to be the new Classics but that goddam Origins screwed everything up.

I knew this stupid race-swapped BS movie was going to screw everything up. But I didn't know it would be this bad. I originally thought Chronicles was gonna be 7". All they had to do was keep the 7" scale & I would've been fine. But nope! They just had to screw me over. I loved Masterverse because it wasn't in the GI Joe Classified/Star Wars Black Series/Marvel Legends scale.

This news is so depressing. It's just like 200x when all my favorite characters were made into those stupid Stactions & didn't make it into the actual action figure line.

And there goes the Vintage Collection too. It barely even got started & it only has 1 more year left? Walmart won't stock it properly. They're selling out & the scalpers are having a field day.

Why even bother anymore??? They suck the joy out of everything. I'm already struggling with depression & toy collecting was one thing that helped but not anymore. I just had to put my cat down last week after 17 years & now they just killed my favorite toy line, Masterverse, on top of it. I won't be touching anything in the 6" scale so Mattel can suck it!

Sorry for the long rant. But it looks like I won't have much to say anymore beyond 2026. All good things must come to an end....I guess.

Sad Evil-Lyn

They updated the article to be more in line with HeMania's messaging and not so click baity. Seems they got a fair bit of backlash over the original header and everything.

To be transparent, I share your perspective. I believe that Extendar, recently featured in Dragstor Origins' mini-comic and indisputably linked to him, merits consideration as an MV figure. A similar consideration should be given to Rio Blast and Saurod, as their initial design has the potential to be significantly enhanced. The question is whether there is sufficient time to complete this task. I'm not referring to Lady Slither, who has a history of "slithering away" (no pun intended) when needed (the last time was with Super7 producing Motuc Ultimates figures). Mattel has demonstrated a lack of commitment to concluding its Motu toyline. This has been evident to me through my own experience.

a lot can happen in a year...not to say that maybe they will realize a long the way that it is not a good idea to end MV...you can call this wishful thinking, but I am just hoping some miracle is going to happen

In response to @toyshark ‘s comment in the news thread, that many of the most important characters are done in MV and they may feel MV has run its course, I started ruminating and posted this in the news thread, taking liberty to share again:

This is something that hurts to admit… yes they could be doing Snake Men, and yes they could be doing more PoP, new characters, [go deep!]… but for a *retail* line, they need the Fistos, Mer Men, Buzz-Offs, aside of the main characters. Plus further characters need even more new tooling. (Comet Warriors anyone?)

However I do hurt hearing all this, being quite invested in MV, AND having a lot of Classics. Where will I put these Chronicles?

There must be method to this madness. Announcing an “all-new toy line” gives headlines for the movie and vice verse. They do understand consistency in their Barbie and Hot Wheels. MOTU is still in the establishing phase. I hope it doesn’t all go bust though.

It’s clear to me they will phase in classic designs and sublines into Chronicles, just how they did it with MV. But how many will jump on board?

I hope Mattel will keep MV alive a little bit, with Creations releases, Vintage Collection,… With minimal effort, they could dampen our frustrations, and create more good will towards Chronicles… and their company.

And wanted to add:

It would help if they get flooded with emails, Creations Forum posts, and *physical letters*. NOT spouting angry abuses! Passionate but Constructive!).

Who has addresses?

I am not a historical MOTU collector. I bought the Horsemen versions in early 2000's and came to Masterverse with the Netflix animation series.

I appreciate the "toy" feeling of designs that are not too realistic like GI Joe classified that I tried at first before letting down. So I relly hope that Mattel will not cancel MV. And if they do, I hope that Chronicles won't get the absurd realistic look that spoiled Classified series.

Long live "toys" !!

It might not change corporate policy, but it may get them to continue on Creations, for example.

But we need to let them know, that we actually care. And we need to bring our thoughts to them.

@petruspeter Dear lord! I was inspired not to resell my Motuc Dragstor and/or the magnificent Beast Man (such a fierce face!). The trend has clearly consolidated over the last two decades. As a completist, I will complete my factions using an inter-collective approach. Building several bridges ... I'll keep going until I can't take it anymore and throw away the towel!

A petition may work. They usually don't but fans were able to stop the first Snake Lair.
