Toy Habits live stream tonight says Wun-Dar coming to Masterverse.
Mattel is running out of He-Man variants. How much you wanna bet after Wun-Dar it will be He-Skeletor? lol
Not gonna lie, I'd totally be down for a MV version of He-Skeletor...

I’d get that Ninjor soon, especially for that price. He is harder to get, like others mentioned. And he’s a really great figure!
Ninjor is easily in my top 5 MV figures released so far.

Through some amazing BBTS sales and my Pile of Loot, I just ordered New Eternia Viking He-Man (Thank god he comes with a normal head and otherwise makes him look like a standard He-Man) and Princess of Power Hordak. In case y'all don't know Hordak is my favorite MOTU character. I've heard the POP one has semi-loose arms but he's on sale and ideally one of the best in terms of design and accessories. A fusion of his original toy and Filmation versions.
His newer New Etheria figure is also high on my Masterverse want list. I particularly love the way his cape doubles as wings.
My dream MOTU figure from Origins or Masterverse is Entrapta.
I took the tiny red wings off my New Etheria Hordak & put them on Shadow Weaver. And for Hordak, I got the Plasma Sounds Toothless & put those bigger black wings on Hordak. I'm gonna be posting some videos of them soon.
Also, Entrapta was always my favorite POP figure. Back in the 80s I only had Entrapta, Mermista & Frosta. I was too embarrassed to buy them all. lol But now I have'em all in Classics. I love all the POP girls but Entrapta is my favorite. But a Masterverse Entrapta needs the vac-metallized, chrome-plated gold (or whatever it's called). Don't do what they did with He-Ro or the dull gold paint on the classics figure. She NEEDS the shiny gold.
Just asking as a new Masterverse collector: Are there figures from the line's early days 2021 and 2022 (like from Revelation) that are good or still hold up in terms of design, sculpt, etc.? Basically ones you would say are worth it before the line kicked into to full gear so to say?
Also I'm guessing the Revelation Battle Cat is worth a pickup because he'll look good with any He-Man on him minus bulky Netflix 2021?
I know he's a smaller character with a simplistic design compared to everyone else, but a New Eternia Orko of some type would be nice.
@slycooperastroboy51 Teela Na and her daughter in their Sorceress outfits, the deluxe Man-At-Arms, Clamp Champ, Fisto, Sorceress Evil-Lyn, Mer-Man in his classic veteran look, and Beast Man. These are the figures that inspired me to buy them, and I do not regret that decision. The overall quality is there, with design, paint finish and biceps swivel (which was removed beyond this exploitation). They are the perfect substitute for a more vintage-accurate look.
@slycooperastroboy51 Stinkor is OK, Spikor and Scare Glow also...until we get the New Eternia versions of these figures at least
@slycooperastroboy51 As you see from my fellow collectors’ responses, there are quite a few, depending who you ask!
Already in second and third waves, I went in pretty hard, while from the first wave, I only have Moss Man, Evil-Lyn (was that first wave 🤔?) and Skele-God.
May I add, to what others have said, I actually like Revolution Battle Armor He-Man. The face is simplistic but oddly enough, despite being a traditionalist, I like this He-Man head the best in MV so far?! His Battle-Armor has a much nicer gun metal surface than the plasticky NE BA. (who I don’t like) And, it includes a traditional simple He-Man belt armor, to turn him into regular HM. Bonus points for the magnificently painted axe (but no sword included).
@sci-fitsunami I also love the vac-metal on the vintage Entrapta! I have most of the Classics Princesses, too, but no vintages yet.
I have noticed that the vintage E. might be missing some paint on her upper legs? To make it look more like the Classics look, with super long boots but a bit of skin showing? The vintage has the sculpting of the boots, but no paint distinguishing the two parts?
Wonder what the other collectors think about that 🙃 Something similar happened with CGI Evil-Lyn (though her “Eternia Mini” figure does have the flesh paint).

I love'em & have'em all. (except for the 87 movie s**t)
My advice is to search Google for "Masterverse wave 1", "Masterverse wave 2" etc. Look at the pics & see which ones you like. Or go on eBay, search for Masterverse & set it for lowest price first & then pick out what you like.
Just know that in the beginning Mattel overproduced them but later they adjusted the numbers so there are a few in the later waves that you'll have to pay out the ass for. I think they lowered the production numbers a little bit too low. So every new wave has 1 that sells out immediately. This line started getting difficult to collect around wave 14 with Battle Armor Skeletor. It took me off guard & I almost missed BA Skeletor & Snake Sorceress Teela.
And Panthor is totally f**king spectacular but it looks like you missed him. Battle Armor Skeletor & Panthor are a must for any Masterverse collection. If you can afford those 2 get them now before the prices go any higher. If not, start saving up, they are 100% worth it.
And IMO, Mantenna is easily the best figure so far. So get him ASAP.

anyone else find it weird that all the 200x stuff went to Origins and not to Masterverse first? (those characters in both scales would be neat)
that’s like the only major corner of the franchise Masterverse hasn’t touched to my knowledge

Quite honestly, I don't think that there are any real duds in the MV line... I'm personally not a fan of some of the He-Man variants (Mattel is having trouble capturing their leading man's face), but overall the line is quite solid.
As mentioned, Stinkor is a great figure, and I'd add Andra to that list as well. She tends to be overlooked a lot, but is really a great figure with nice accessories / display options.
Also, all three of the New Adventures characters turned out great... except for He-Man's face......... again.

YES! I've always said it was a weird decision to do that. 200X would fit the Masterverse buck extremely well.

True, but then New Eternia has quite some 200X influence in some of their offerings. Like Webstor and Clawful. They are not based on vintage concepts at all, but clearly based on 200X influences.
I guess Stinkor, too, though he is Revelation.
I fully expect Chronicles to have yet another go at the various sublines just like Origins has. They'll do it just to get more He-Man and Skeletors out there if nothing else.
@sketchyskeletor They can count this former completist out then. Expecting us to collect yet another new line of the same dozen characters again is beyond the pale.

A lot of Walmarts & Targets already stopped carrying MOTU. Load them up with another He-Man while Flying Fists is still clogging up every peg in every store & it might be the final straw.

I hear ya, but assuming Chronicles is intended to have a decent shelf life at retail beyond the movie...
@Sci-Fi Tsunami That'll be the point though, to use the movie to get the brand back into retail. Look at what we're seeing already just with countless books. They're gonna slap the MOTU brand on anything and everything next summer I imagine.
Because pissing off the retailers worked so well for 200x. lol
Where did Mattel get this idea that only He-Man & Skeletor sell & they must be flooded in every store at all times anyway? Can't they see how well Flying Fists is doing? Even BBTS can't move that sumbitch.

It's no different to Marvel Legends, there's always a Spider-Man, Iron Man and Cap on the shelves when a wave is being pushed. But with MOTU there's history behind it. The original line apparently saw retailers ask for more of the leads as it rocketed and Mattel's morons heard 'more figures!' and produced everybody but the leads, eventually trying to correct their mistake but then having way too much stock. Then there was the issue of some complete wankers wanting their bonuses and shipping stock to retailers they knew they weren't supposed to get.
Mattel have been calamity second guessing themselves ever since with the two leads. It's probably why upcoming 200x Skeletor seems quite removed from the usual pattern. At least that's my guess. In short, Mattel is floundering as per!
@slycooperastroboy51 Because Mattel licensed Mondo's 1/12 Motu 200X, they were surely wise not to cannibalise their own deal with the other company. That's my theory on the matter, at least. @cosmic Indeed, there is a plethora of inspiration from the 200X era within the Masterverse, as you astutely observed; Webstor serves as a quintessential exemplar.
Is the Revelation Trap Jaw currently the only TJ in Masterverse?
I mean the Revelation one looks good but I kinda want a New Eternia figure of him. Also jarring when you realize that they’re partially moving to She-Ra characters with New Etheria which is awesome but at the same time Jaw is one of the franchise’s most prominent and iconic baddies, arguably 3rd most after Skeletor and Evil-Lyn doesn’t have a New Eternia figure yet.

There's a NE TJ. And no doubt an upcoming Vintage.
@slycooperastroboy51 The New Eternia Trap Jaw is fantastic. Have a look online.
@cosmic Okay yeah NOW I know he exists I'm not aware of all the Masterverse figures yet but I will be in due time.
He looks cool yeah I may get him. 😆
