@yen1893 I need one more Man-At-Arms. The 1987 movie one. After that Teela and after that the skeletroopers. I'll army build the hell with those.
@kraken 1987 movie Man At Arms is OK, but that's it, no more 🙂 I would love to army build the palace guards or horde troopers (regular size horde troopers, not over-sized ones)
Some further wave 20 details like the backstories, such as they are...

Yes, that’s what I meant with Hellskull etc. It’s probably all the German fans who buy all these AE He-Men everywhere! (Having spent my childhood there, I can relate!)
We’ve had several versions of him, but the castle has never appeared in official plastic.
It’s exciting for the respective fan-community whenever a piece of national Kanon is integrated into official US MOTU.
And I believe Germany is the second biggest market for MOTU!
What's interesting here is that in the original Geman audio-plays, it was referred to as "Hell-Grayskull" before being given the moniker "Castle Hellskull." Moreover, it was only briefly described in the audio plays as having the visage of a screaming angel.
I believe it wasn't until 2016 when Castle Hellskull got an official look in this image by Simon Eckert:

I broke down, paid extra & bought Mosquitor off BBTS to go with my Mantenna from last month. I couldn't wait for those 2. The only one I don't really care about is Anti-Eternia He-Man.
The 19th wave has finally arrived! My shelves are about to burst with imagination and epicness!
@onlyoneskeletor Great news! I'm taking it you like them?
Do you have a favourite?
@he-fellow They all have a strong claim to the podium, but Mantenna has the strongest claim of all, thanks to his appearance and bizarre physique. I'm thrilled that they decided to reimagine Mosquitor so soon in the line, as my MOTUC figure was the victim of a regrettable domestic incident. Last but not least, this Anti-Eternia He-Man has made me the biggest liar of the year, as I swore to myself that I was done with buying straight-up He-Man repaints, which he absolutely is not.
Mantenna could have been a $30 "oversized" figure like Moss-Man. I'm glad they didn't do that.
Also, is that new Keldor giving anybody else an old, crappy 90s McFarlane Spawn figure vibe? It keeps making me think of the figure "Crutch" from 1996. And other really crappy figures from that time period. I hope the finished retail version looks better than what they showed at SDCC. I'm not a fan of the whole Keldor story anyway, I prefer not knowing Skeletors origin. I like the Keldor character but I hate his ties to Skeletor. And being related to Randor is totally stupid IMO.

The Masterverse Keldor feels like we're missing part of the story somewhere to me. The outfit is oddly specific. And when you see the scarred face up close in photos it's not great. I dunno, something's off.

Afterward, it was adopted as the official version in Origins:And also appears in the He-Man and the Masters of the Multi-verse series in 2016:All said, the design is just creepy enough to work as the perfect counterpart to Eternia's Grayskull... one a beautiful face, the other, a grotesque skull.
This was cool.
I love Anti-Eternia He-Man. I think we finally have a good He-Man head boys. Now we need Mattel to make a new Masterverse He-Man with it.
@mighty-thanos You see? That's exactly what I'd criticise the designers for. I mean, when it comes to variants of the hero or even a possible nemesis, they could show a little less laziness, given the high level of recycling they benefit from with each new release. In other words: At least make the effort to reinvent the face each time, for God's sake! Just look how long they capitalised on it during the post-production phase of the New Eternia Faker, which, according to general opinion, was a real success — they reused it for Thunderpunch He-Man and then Flying Fist He-Man. Customers didn't connect with this aspect of their work, which was not innovative at all. Worse still, it made the characters somewhat laughable.
Do you guys know Vintage Collection Zodac's armor glows in the dark? I never saw anybody mention it anywhere & it's not even mentioned on the box. Usually they make a big deal out of anything that glows in the dark. But this time nobody bothered to mention it. I didn't see any reviewers mention it either but I don't watch them all.

Mattel has a bit of a habit in not telling people about GITD aspects of their toys. There's been a few instances but wasn't OG Lyn's wand (steady) GITD and few knew?
Just recently crossover Screamer needed activating with a blacklight because even sunlight wasn't working on my copy!

S’funny, as someone who doesn’t usually like Keldor or his depiction (outside of Revolution), this NE version appeals to me. Perhaps a zombified, ugly Keldor is the Keldor for those who don’t like him.
The colors remind me of Anti-Eternia Keldor, actually? He would work as that, with the regular head.
Only thing I don’t like is the hood is bulging upwards too much.
But I think I’ll get him, just like the rest of the wave. Enjoying it while it lasts.
Though yeah, I also prefer not knowing who or what Skeletor really is.

Cosmic, please stop feeding my current concerns! 😱
Here's hoping that Mattel will unveil their plans for the Masterverse line, including how they intend to handle future releases.

Sorry I’m hoping it “lasts” for a *long time* this current high point 😁 And I will enjoy it all this long time! Space issues be damned haha
Dude, WTF? I get email notifications almost daily from BBTS & Nerdzoic about new Marvel Legends figures. It's friggin ridiculous. Why can't Mattel pump out more Masterverse figures like Hasbro does? We're only getting 3 or 4 waves per year reduced to 3 from 4 figures per wave. I'm so sick of seeing Marvel Legends notifications almost every freakin day while I'm hoping for the Masterverse wave 20 pre-orders to show up. What the hell is Hasbro doing over there anyway? lol

Mattel doesn't have... I was going to say the capacity but I imagine that'll be proved wrong next year, so I'm thinking the belief in the brand as we're seeing it right now. Again, next year will be a massive test of everything. For Mattel and us. And yet again it's hobbled before it's even began*. If they overproduce for the movie and new cartoon like they did the Netflix stuff... Jesus.
*The upcoming cartoon might be ok but they can't be putting out whack figures again. The movie has an alleged pervert as Skeletor and the director of the insanely overrated Bumblebee. Next year will be crucial for the brand, both of those projects need to be hits. Mid or a mid response won't cut it for the effort and money Mattel will be spending and that'll affect us longterm.
@sketchyskeletor Which cartoon are we talking about…?
There were some misunderstandings when they first announced their big PR push… was there anything else?

If I'm remembering correctly there was information that came out of a London event that there's to be a new kid's cartoon alongside the movie but presumably separate.
Edit
Still researching but there's a movie prequel series at least
Gah, can't find anything, could have sworn there's a kids cartoon happening that was mentioned almost as a throwaway line at London Comic Con. Maybe I'm getting it mixed up with the 200x figures or the prequel series!
