@yen1893 Anyone wanna bet that they'll recycle the granny He-Man head yet again for AE He-Man?

For some reason, my mind went to 40th Anniversary He-Man being repainted. But I think you're right, it'll be the NE Faker/NE Flying Fists He-Man/NE Thunder Punch He-Man head and buck.
WANTED IN MASTERVERSE:
'87 Movie Man-At-Arms, '87 Movie Skeletor Trooper, '87 Movie Teela, New Eternia Masks of Power Demons, New Eternia Queen Marlena (White Space Outfit).
WANTED IN MONDO 200X 1/12 SCALE:
Disco Skeletor, King Miro, Count Marzo, Kex Queen, Ambrosia Webstor, King Grayskull and many, many more.
Ya know? I don't get it. Amazon said Ninjor's release date was July 1st. So I would imagine they got the cases from Mattel, they were sitting in the warehouse, and they would start packing and shipping them out for that "release date" — and the boxes would arrive in mint, pristine condition.
I just received the two I ordered, and one of the boxes looks like it’s been sitting (or kicked around) in a Walmart or Target clearance bin for the past year. The top flap is bent/creased, there’s a 1" tear on the back side up by his right hand in the photo, and the bottom flap has a 1/2" tear.
I don’t normally care about the boxes — I usually toss them due to space issues — and I’m not complaining, I’m thrilled that they sent me the correct figures. I'm just confused. They were both shipped in a box, not a bag, so I really don’t understand how a brand-new figure could already look like it’s been kicking around a Walmart clearance bin for the past year. lol
I had two on pre-order at BBTS, but they showed up like two months too early and I wasn’t expecting or prepared for it, so I had to cancel that order and go with Amazon instead.
The thing I am complaining about is how some of these Masterverse figures are SOLD OUT immediately everywhere, and then shoot up in price on the aftermarket. I mean, what if there’s a defect on one of the figures I just received? There’s no way to replace them. Last time I checked, they’re out of stock again. And going by BA Skeletor and Snake Sorceress Teela, it seems like they’ll never restock.
Also, any thoughts on why Mattel went back to the smaller wrist pegs?
I'm hoping that "Chronicles" is just another sub-theme under the Masterverse banner.
That way, the New Eternia, New Etheria, Vintage, 87 Movie, New Adventures, CGI, and regular flavors can still be peppered in....

Hmmm... Funny, that's what Scott Neitlich had planned to call the MOTUC Classics continuity when there was talk of refreshing the A-lister characters for the umpteenth time. This time, the idea was to provide a more accurate interpretation of the 200X era while continuing to introduce more obscure characters. Of course, things might differ greatly here.
If that's correct about Scareglow being in the movie... seriously, they're gonna Bumblebee it for the trailer and then have one big fight at the end of a load of padding!
I want a "VINTAGE COLLECTION" Scare Glow. Or New Eternia. I have absolutely no faith in that trash movie. I hope if he's in it, he will look awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. What we really need is Vintage Collection or New Eternia. He's been my most wanted Masterverse figure since the beginning. I love the Revelation version but it's not the real Scare Glow.
Vintage is hands down the best version of Scare Glow in my opinion...
I kinda like what Mondo did with their version 3.0, but that is more of a "zombie" Scare Glow... too much going on with him.
For me, I feel that less-is-more when it comes to this character's design.

Maybe 'Chronicles' is a newly renamed vintage-style subline that will run alongside the movie Masterverse figure line ... ?
Just holding out some kind of hope ... after all, we haven't heard about Scareglow being in the movie, so maybe he isn't and 'Chronicles' is something else.

UPDATE! These are the vintage figures we still need in Masterverse. 25 left to go ... 23 if the rumoured Mantenna and Mosquitor pan out. Not that we're gonna get there, but it's just fun to keep track!
Rotar
Twistoid
Rokkon
Stone-Dar
Dragon Blaster Skeletor
Laser Light He-Man
Laser Power Skeletor
Extendar
Dragstor
Modulok
Multi-bot
Saurod
Mantenna
Rio Blast
King Hssss
Hurricane Hordak
Rattlor
Tung Lashor
Blast-Attak
Buzz Saw Hordak
Mosquitor
Snake Face
Ssssquueze
Tytus
Megator
So unless I've miscounted, there's 27 vintage figures left to go in Masterverse, which is admittedly closer than I thought we were. That's including representations of characters across all sublines. Here's the list for those interested:
Ninjor
Rotar
Twistoid
Rokkon
Stone-Dar
Dragon Blaster Skeletor
Laser Light He-Man
Laser Power Skeletor
Extendar
Dragstor
Modulok
Multi-bot
Saurod
Kobra Khan
Mantenna
Rio Blast
King Hssss
Hurricane Hordak
Rattlor
Tung Lashor
Blast-Attak
Buzz Saw Hordak
Mosquitor
Snake Face
Ssssquueze
Tytus
MegatorI doubt we'll get the two giants, they're more likely to pop-up in Origins (which won't be a bad thing if they make them the same size as their vintage versions).

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Masterverse is the perfect line in which to add New Adventures figures. The style, aesthetic, size, and execution all scream NA.
Heck, Nocturna and Vizar are basically G.I. Joe figures... and MV is essentially MOTU's Classified series, so put one and one together and they (along with a majority of NA) would fit perfectly!
Mattel! Give us some damn New Adventures figures to add to the measly three that we have!!

Right??? It's actually painful how few NA figures we've received in Masterverse ... 😭 😭

@ornclown I'm so tired of passively watching the same old Mattel show for decades now. No matter how much of a black sheep that NA Motu iteration is, the toy industry has demonstrated many times how to deal with a presumed less desirable product (special convention items, toy store exclusivity, multipacks, etc.). So, for God's sake, let them move on from that unjustified reluctance!
@onlyoneskeletor Or for fuck's sake, license MOTU to more third parties. For all their flaws, Super7 would have finished off NA on the Classics buck a long time ago had they been permitted to continue. Aggravating decision.
@durendal Though it clearly belongs to another topic, I wish Mondo would extend their curiosity to the She-Ra property before daring the unthinkable, which would be to use their remarkable craftsmanship to create their first NA figures. This could be one of those moments in history where common sense certifies the success of a brand, as this company is well known for the irresistible touch they give to each and every new figure they produce — no exceptions!

While I agree that Super7 should have been permitted to continue with Classics, I'm not convinced they would've finished NA. They seemed focused on Club Grayskull/FILMation at the end there. Don't get me wrong though, I would've loved it if they did.

@abaddon OMG! Let's hope that the light and her plastic prison are the reason for her weird face, because from what I can see here, Teela is far from being a success. In my opinion, it would be more logical to categorise Hordak within the New Eternia setting, whilst simultaneously depicting him with his grey skin.
How is that Teela a New Eternia release? She just looks like standard vintage style Teela without any creative updates. Lazy AF. And those eyes are a disaster. Masterverse is so done. They're just phoning it in now.
Thanks for curing me of my formerly obsessive completionism with MOTU, Mattel. You dummies did a fantastic job driving away a decades-long automatic customer with your endless variants of the same main characters. I ain't buying this shit. I want MOTU expansion, not repetition - there's a significant difference.
Is it too much to ask to get a smiling or smirking Teela? This one looks like a villainess with that expression.
