What do you mean? I can't think of a single instance in Masterverse when Mattel has revealed a bad portrait that it got BETTER at production. Human portraits are the line's biggest weakness imo.
(A) Teela as a pre-order product (exactly why I hesitated so long before taking the plunge with this figure). (B) The final product in an action pose. Anyone could see the striking difference in the elaboration of her face. Personally, I was waving my wallet at that moment.
Taking a closer look at Masters of the Universe Masterverse HORDAK Action Figure (assumingly from the "New Etheria" subline) that is coming the latter half of 2025.
We have the Power!
So far, only Mondo has done better (unless the final product contradicts my current impression). But frankly, I would prefer to see the character remain under the New Eternia umbrella as previously hinted at; mostly because I'm tired of seeing the Horde take the slots of the more obscure warrior princesses, who are deemed too silly to even consider taking a shot with. So, to make a long story short, I'm rooting for New Etheria to be reserved exclusively for women, good or bad.

On a completely random note, I admit: if any of you are interested in the Alcala look for Skeletor (which is still the best and most iconic, in my opinion), I recently ordered a painted head from the seller luvnidleness and must say I'm incredibly pleased. It is spot on, perfect - better, I think, than the Classics version (the sculpt of which was good, the paint apps not so much) and certainly better than the version that came with the Bone Throne recently. Worth checking out if, as I say, the look is of interest.
It fits perfectly color-wise with the New Eternia Skeletor.
Do a search on ebay for Masterverse Alcala Skeletor head and you'll find it. I have no connection with the seller, by the way.

I'm glad someone else noticed the prices as well...
I posted this a week ago in another thread, but I was surfing BBTS one morning and the website suddenly closed for updates... when it came back online, I noticed that a bunch (almost everything I normally surf) of products had a major price increase. $19.99 items went to $24.99, $39.99 items jumped to $44.99, heck, Mumm-Ra with LED eyes went from $77.00 to $93.00!!
It really took me aback...

Darn, NE Teela isn’t looking as cool as NE Evil-lyn. That snake armor came out looking a little dorky.
Kobra Khan looks okay. Articulated jaw is neat, but head looks off. Maybe a little froggish.
Stratos… looks like Stratos. But why does he have the New Eternia belt instead of the Vintage belt? I like his fuzzy shins.
And I find it funny that Hordak is coming soon, but we’ve seen him for weeks.

Maybe they decided to work on him some more. He was kinda boring. His boots and arm bracers especially.

@ornclown sucks bc I love this line but would be the one I pick to stop collecting. I’ve already cut back over the past 2 years with other lines. The cherry on top is now apparently Nintendo Switch 2 games are going to be in the ball park of $80-$90.
The “fun” factor is slowly starting to disappear
@ornclown The $24 already included some of the shipping costs, as the figurines actually cost $20 when the line started (I've still got my bills to prove this...). I'm still amazed at how affordable these high quality figures were.
