Thanks to both Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios, He-Mania.com had a seat at the World Premiere for the new “Masters of the Universe” Movie at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd.
Now while we can’t provide a full review at this time, we were permitted to provide our first reaction on social media. Here is that reaction:
“FEELING WONDERFULLY OVERWHELMED by Travis Knight’s #MastersoftheUniverse.. a rip-roaring, epic, juggernaut of a film that unabashedly embraces this brand and is expertly helmed by someone who is clearly one of us (a fan). The action is thrilling, the humor is edgy (in a great way), and the cast seems to be having so much fun (with Jared Leto’s Skeletor possibly stealing the show.) I can’t believe this movie exists, and so thankful that it does. Still taking it all in. I need to see it again ASAP!

There’s more coverage to come of this amazing evening!
We’ll see you next time!

It was so good!!! Were were ready to watch it again as soon as it ended!
That’s such a relief to hear! Everything I’ve seen so far has looked great, so it’s wonderful to get confirmation that it lives up to the hype! I hope it gets great word of mouth and a strong box office showing!
Finally, FINALLY, the stench of 1987 can dissipate…
Whoa, now… the 1987 movie was a product of its time. No stench there, and no dissipation necessary.
I figure I will still enjoy both of the live-action MOTU movies, for different reasons, long after they hit theaters.
I’m loving the fact that this seems to be getting overwhelmingly positive and “fun" vibes. I haven’t even seen it yet and I’m hoping that this positivity carries the box office to multiple sequels!
This is great news, but @admin, can you reveal any songs featured in the movie maybe? Besides “The Man" by the Killers.
People on social media have revealed that the famous Filmation theme is indeed heard in the film.
@durendal OH GREAT HEAVENS, THANK GOD! 🙏🤣❤️ And I know “What’s Goin’ On" by 4 Non Blondes is in the movie as well.
