It seems Chronicles (already) has a new subline!
Possibly forcing their hand thanks to yesterday’s unexpected reveal, Mattel Packaging Designer and Art Director Roy Juarez officially revealed packaging photography and artwork for their Masters of the Universe “Inaugural Edition” Chronicles Scare Glow action figure.

Per Mattel:
INAUGURAL EDITION
CHRONICLES SCARE GLOW
If the only thing to fear is fear itself, then no being is more terrifying than the Lord of Subternia, Scare Glow. His ghostly light can paralyze even the bravest of Eternia’s warriors.

With glorious new artwork by the talented artist Simon Eckert…

…this announcement seems to solidify that there are two sublines for the fledgling “Chronicles” action figure line now: Movie and Inaugural Edition.
What other figures are coming under the Chronicles “Inaugural Edition” banner? Could it be Prince Adam and Cringer that was teased in the packaging artwork? Hopefully Mattel will reveal soon.
Thanks to the awesome @thenate for the ‘heads up’!
We’ll see you next time!

The good old ingredients that I loved so much with MV New Eternia seem to have survived the “transition." So, where are the latest hints? Hmmm… Adam and Cringer? I can see why they chose those two.
something like "the new beginning" maybe ?
Yesterday’s reveal showed this Chronicles figure side by side with its MV counterpart, and they looked like the same scale. So, how many scales is Chronicles targeting? There are reviewers with new figures at hand, so why this confusion has not been clarified yet?
A part of me wonders if this Chronicles line will be like the early Bayformers toylines for the first three films where it had a lot of characters that weren’t in their respective movie but in the design style, though a few instances had the figures based on tie-in video games or characters who were actually cut from the films. Mainly to really fill the line out with variety than what the movies could handle.
The Raimi Spider-Man toylines also had this, I mean to be fair, a Spider-Man toyline has to have more than one villain. The Toybiz one for the second film had Rhino, Shocker and Scorpion while the one for Spider-Man 3 had Kraven, Lizard and Vulture. The latter two are interesting because if you know those were planned to be the villains in the very infamously cancelled fourth Raimi movie, or at least just Vulture but they were seemingly setting up Lizard because Dr. Connors is in the movies.
