OUR REVIEW:
Full of worldbuilding lore, this episode about a criminal and his chance at redemption is worth a watch just for the haunted Castle Grayskull alone. Once again, while interfering, Zodac swears his oath to not interfere with mortal men, but at least this time provides a somewhat reasonable loophole. (8/10)

Tomorrow’s Episode is: “The Huntsman”

This was a pretty good episode. The Castle Grayskull freakout was insane and I didn’t remember this episode well enough to remember what caused it. I figured it was something evil or something like that. It would have made a perfect horror episode if it kept giing down that road. At the end Zodac got an assistant which is cool and all but what exactly do they do. They observe the people in the cosmos why?
So the Snake Men didn’t build Snake Mountain. Skeletor built Snake Mountain and probably would have taken the shape of a skull if Castle Grayskull didn’t already copyright the look. Lol
@vvintagetyler This cartoon predates the Snake Men however it contradicts the episode Masks of Power. In that episode Skeletor is not aware of secret tunnels nor the Sword of the Ancients hidden in Snake Mountain. In that episode Skeletor is only the latest to occupy Snake Mountain.I blame too many cooks in the kitchen for the contradiction.
@longtooth totally agree, that’s always bugged me. Then they make it even more confusing in The Secret of the Sword/Reunions when they say Hordak had it as a Horde base before Skeletor took over
@battlecat327 We shouldn’t be too hard on them. They created an intricate universe across 223 episodes made simultaneously on a tight schedule. It’s quite an accomplishment it’s not full of contradictions.
@longtooth for sure – I think they did a pretty good job with all those factors you pointed out. Funny enough too – while they’re different, I think you could ultimately reconcile all three together depending on how you choose to interpret timelines, etc…
Good episode. Nothing much to comment except you gotta love how Zodac never gets his ass outta that chair once whenever he shows up. Okay I think maybe there was one instance, but still.
3 stars. Great world building and always fun to see zodak,
