OUR REVIEW:
Nothing is visually or narratively special in this lofty but middling episode where Teela (not Skeletor) is Teela's own worst enemy. This character flaw may be character development, but the way it's written, it is also not very entertaining to watch. (5/10)

  1. This is an interesting episode- I agree that it really drags at times but it also feels like they turned up the “realism” of this episode by 20%. Skeletor comes off as incredibly clever by telling Man-at-Arms he has to work if he wants to eat, and to only make plans, not finished projects.

The voice acting by John Erwin and Linda Gary is incredible in this episode. They hit some very emotional lines so well in their character voices.

My one criticism is Man-at-Arms vs Trap-Jaw. In 200X and Revelation Man-at-Arms is evenly matched if not better than most Evil Warriors (particularly in Revelation). He’s shown to be evenly matched in this series several times as well. However, at times when the plot calls for it he and Teela can turn borderline useless. They basically concede that Trap-Jaw’s “got him” simply by standing next to him.

  2. “Teela’s Trial"? More like Teela’s guilt because that’s what she expresses throughout a good chunk of the episode. And when she stormed into Snake Mountain with He-Man it didn’t feel like a “trial" more just a standard rescue mission.

Meh episode. Didn’t help that I’m watching it tired after a long personal day

  3. I like it but this episode is the weakest out of the Teela trilogy. I like the message it teaches viewers but I still wonder why Adam and Teela never went to the Sorceress for help to locate Man-At-Arms. I’m sure she could have located him. Still overall it’s a good episode. It’s just not one of my favorites.
