OUR THOUGHTS:
Writer Barney Cohen's only He-Man episode is a masterstroke in foreshadowing, pacing, suspense, tension and acting. In our opinion, "Evilseed" is the pinnacle of what this series could achieve. Highly Recommend. (10/10)

There are some very scary aspects to this episode. Someone mentioned the strange fruit line was referencing a dark subject matter from a Billie Holiday song so I looked it up. Oh my God. I can’t believe Lou was okay with it.

So much win. Evilseed is another banger. The first 25 episodes rule.
Yep this is going in my favorites. A lot of characters, He-Man and Skeletor teaming up and also casually facetiming before that was a thing, Skeletor having some funny banter, Skeletor in this episode in general.
I like Evilseed’s weird broccoli E.T.-ass design
I’m guessing this is yet another case of the one-off villain giving a “We’ll meet again!" then they never meet again.
Also I always like to point out whenever this show’s animation gets better than usual for a brief moment. Evilseed’s defeat/death reminds me randomly of this one well animated Simpsons clip that was for some reason a meme a few years back
Simply the best.
5 stars. One of the best episodes. Interesting that evil seed is possibly the only villan that he-man doesnt meet face to face or fight.
