Found by Gerry Heffernan (an outstanding member of this great community), Gerry just shared with us some terrific unboxing images of his find… and supplied us a little info to boot! Check it out:
Gerry was out hunting for Masters of the Universe: Origins “Cartoon Collection” (200X) figures when he found the King!
Gerry looked for Queen Marlena figures as well but could only find King Randor.
His theory on why these figures were available in Australia first is due to proximity: Australia is closer to where these figures are manufactured (Vietnam).
If you recall, another collector found a Masters of the Universe: Origins Vintage Dragstor in Australia. (That story can be found HERE.)
It truly is amazing when figures like this are found in the wild before they are announced by Mattel.

Oh happy days! King Randor looks great. He doesn’t look like the spitting image of the Filmation cartoon but it’s close enough for me to be happy.
This cracks me up. No announcements for Randor and Marlena. They weren’t even listed in Mattel’s catalogs. 🤣
It’s missing the ’80s logo in the top left.
@he-mayon You’re right. I missed that. The Queen Marlena figure has the logo so why not King Randor. It’s strange.
I like that Randor comes with a sword and a scepter. He is going to be fun to display.
@he-mayon probably because its International packaging. Notice all the different languages on the call out on the back.
I don’t usually collect but with mom and dad I will make an exception.
There is an uncanny quality to the figure, which appears remarkably lifelike and… alluring!

This wave only has two figures. It keeps shrinking.
Been wondering about that myself. Like are they Walmart exclusives or what? Hard to know with how Mattel goes about distribution and information sharing.

Other than the original mini comics, the Filmation Randor is easily my favorite… it will be nice to get both he and Marlena, in their royal attire, in the Origins line.
