Back in February we broke the news that a new video game was in the works for the Masters of the Universe brand. The game was called “Masters of the Universe: Guardians of Grayskull” and it looked like it would be engineered for mobile devices.
Classified as a “Downloadable computer game software – for mobile phones, portable media players, handheld computers and tablets”, we have been keeping an eye on its trademark process through the U.S. legal system, and barring any third-party opposition (and we doubt there will be), it appears “Masters of the Universe: Guardians of Grayskull” will be officially trademarked by Mattel at the end of the year.
However, as we wait to play it in the U.S. plus other countries (and wait for an official announcement), it looks like the game is available to either beta-test or download in some countries with 1k downloads in the Play Store.

When will the new “MOTU: Guardians of Grayskull” Video Game actually be announced by Mattel and released in the United States? That we do not have insight on as of yet, but we do suspect by early 2026 per U.S. trademark filings.

I like it but this looks too hard to play on a phone. I couldn’t handle it without a controller.
Basically a Vampire Survivors reskin. I assume it’s out and testing in China or Korea hence the number of players?
I’ll give it a shot but it definitely seems Dragon Pearl is the one game being developed with care and some actual meat on the bones compared to some of these recent offerings.
