If you are a Mondo “Masters of the Universe” collector hoping for even more new figure announcements during this year’s San Diego International Comic-Con, then you are in luck… and green is the color of the day.

That’s right, today at San Diego Comic-Con, Mondo teased a couple of more “Masters of the Universe” action figures and this time it was the Evil Warriors Tri-Klops and Mer-Man!
(Please note that the following reveals were projected on screen and subsequently resulted in low resolution images).
Mondo Masters of the Universe 1:6 Scale Tri-Klops Figure
Yes, he is evil and sees everything and Tri-Klops will be finally joining the Mondo 1:6 Scale Masters of the Universe action figure roster. Check him out:

It appears Tri-Klops will have three alternating heads to choose from!

Mondo Masters of the Universe Mer-Man 200X 1:12 Scale Figure
After yesterday’s reveal featuring the additions of Clawful, Skeletor and Man-At-Arms to Mondo’s upcoming high-end “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” 200X 1:12 Scale action figure line, now we can add Mer-Man to that ever-growing list.

However, while Mondo’s Tri-Klops reveal featured a full 3D rendering of that figure, Mer-Man appears to not be as fully developed as Tri-Klops (and was only shown in its concept art stage.)

Regardless, it is exciting to see both of these Evil Warriors announced and we can’t wait to see them in their final form!
We’ll see you next time!

I’ve never liked this rendering of Mer-Man’s face — it looks too happy! I prefer the menacing version from the vintage line. With regard to the superior scaled Triklops, there is also the appearance of heavy inspiration from the 200X cartoon, which results in a dilution of his attractiveness for me. My wallet is safe for now…
Tri-Klops looks pretty majestic, but I’ve developed this pet peeve, when figures have very long legs but the arms feel a bit short. I can’t unsee that with Classics, and now I also see it with some Mondo 1:6.
Looks like the 1:12 line doesn’t have that problem. I like MM’s proportions. I would have loved other head designs included, but I get that this is a 200X line and probably has limits what designs they can use.
Both figures look stunning! Tri-Klops is a great mixture of vintage, 200x and Mondofication! Digging Mer-Man as well. It’ll be nice to have a 200x Mer-Man figure whose armour isn’t all bronze and monochromatic. I’m also really loving the stands for the 1/12 figure line so far. They all seem well suited to the characters and add a bit of extra spice (hopefully with not much extra on the price). Makes me wish they’d do the same for 1/6.
