MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Teaser Trailer Score is Released! Composer Eddie Thoneick tells HE-MANIA the story behind the music!

Last month, He-Man fans were absolutely thrilled when the long-awaited “Masters of the Universe” Movie Teaser Trailer was released!

While much of the excitement came naturally from the visuals, what also got fans pumped was the amazing music behind the imagery, used to drive the emotion and thrilling narrative of the trailer!

Well now that very musical track used for the “Masters of the Universe” theatrical trailer has been released for fans to listen to in all its glory. The song is titled “Leap of Faith” and the composer of that track is Eddie Thoneick.

Eddie Thoneick has been a musical artist for more than 20 years and among so many things, creates trailer music for motion pictures.

Featured in trailers for productions like “Dune: Part Two” and “The Handmaid’s Tale“, Eddie has now added “Masters of the Universe” to his impressive resume… and he graciously took some time to let HE-MANIA.COM know about it (and that he is a Masters of the Universe fan to boot!)

HE-MANIA.COM: What inspired you (when you created the music for the “Masters of the Universe” Teaser Trailer?)

EDDIE THONEICK: "The track "A Leap of Faith“ was already finished as an original without any motion picture right before they started cutting the Trailer. I didn’t even have Masters Of The Universe in mind at that time last year.

"When I worked on the track I had an action hero movie in mind. I wanted to create a Trailer Cue that reflects Good vs. Bad. Which is why it blends between light and dark from the sounds. Classic and epic but with a modern electronic edge. 

Silo, my agency in LA have delivered the track to the trailer house when they were searching for music. And somehow it was an immediate fit!"

HE-MANIA.COM: How long did it take you to compose?

EDDIE THONEICK: "It was a quick turnaround of 2 days plus a couple additional revisions when the trailer was cut. I’m getting inspired by visualizing a certain kind of movie and how the sound can complement certain scenes."

HE-MANIA.COM: Were you a Masters of the Universe fan (growing up)?

EDDIE THONEICK: "Of course. I’ve been a huge fan. Had all action figures in the 80´s when I was a young boy. He-man and Battlecat have been my companions for years. So it felt surreal having my music on the new trailer for the 2026 movie. This is a big one."

This is a big one, indeed!
