Mattel has revealed official details and images for their new Masters of the Universe: Origins Stonedar action figure.

Now landing: it’s the man, the meteor, the Masters of the Universe Origins Stonedar Action Figure. The powerful but peaceful leader of the Rock People has 11 attached armor pieces that create his rocky comet form when folded. His included light blazer blaster can be held in hand to (reluctantly) battle baddies like Evil-Lyn, or plugged in to a hex port on his torso to be used as a radar antenna in his comet form. Get yours, and get ready to rock out.

Geez! Origins again? That’s great for fans who collect that toyline, but the Masterverse is in a precarious position these days. I’m expecting a bit of balance in terms of new offerings from Mattel Creations, especially this year.
And would you put it past Mattel not to have done something stupid like the 200x leads in that design time frame?
Stonedar looks sweet as hell. Buying at least 2.
I never had this figure as a child in the ’80s. It is cool, but not my cup of tea, anyway.
