  1. Zoar, Beast man, Spikor, Trapjaw, Goatman, I’m assuming many more to come! Very excited. I tend to not worry about CGI with the first trailer, they’ll still be working on this for months. First trailers are always still work in progress, for all cgi heavy films.

  2. It’s just a trailer, but they really seemed to nail the vibe I was hoping for. Solid action with a slight bit of levity. Zoar, Spikor, Goat Man, Trap Jaw, Evil Lyn, Marlena, The Sorceress, Fisto, Beast Man, and Snake Mountain! I’m very happy with this, and hope the film continues with the feel of this trailer.

Also, for the small bit we see I feel Galitzine handled the dual roles of Adam/He-Man very well. That’s not the easiest thing to do.

  3. Caught some other eggs: 0:21 – Globe in Adam’s room is not earth – it’s Eternia! 1:01 – Big Jim box! Group shot – Fisto, Mekaneck, Ram Man, Battle Bones(on the left!) and others(?) at 1:32. The Collector at 1:35. Good shot of Trap Jaw at 1:43 and 1:46. Skeleton’s Fright Fighter at 1:46-47! Beast Man at 1:48. I’ll keep, going!

Just caught the Big Jim nod! Pixel Dan seemed to think the statue holding the sword in the store was Vikor.

Maybe Vikor is the movie universe’s He-Man?

    3. @hemanfan51 You spotted Mekaneck and Ram Man?? I didn’t see them…

You can see them in the shot where the whole gang is walking towards the camera in what looks like Castle Grayskull. You can see Battle Bones on the left side of the shot too.
Interesting there’s no shot or footage of Randor…

    1. Roboto still bothering me. Missed opportunity to show a see through robot!

You know though we’ve only seen Roboto in what looks like later in the film. Still plenty of chances to see the character in various stages.

    2. Roboto still bothering me. Missed opportunity to show a see through robot!

Yup… if done properly, he could have looked as badass as this!

In all seriousness though, I don’t mind the way they’ve handled Roboto. However, I can see where the character missing his defining feature is a strange choice.

  4. Watched it twice and was struggling to get past how lazy trailers are now with that stupid fucking grinding chord, and in this case, giant awful fonts!?
I could believe the relatively short runtime is a thing, it looks very self-contained.
The acting ain’t great but then it’s badly edited so it’s hard to get context.
The visuals are good but it feels… I dunno, really AI? I mean it literally looks like one of those AI video trailers that Youtube has started banning now.
I think I wish more of it had been practical because everything has that unreal sheen that takes you into video game territory. I know what that does to the budget but as I say there doesn’t look to be very many locations anyway apart from establishing shots that would be CGI anyway.
Again though, they can’t make exciting, reliable trailers these days, they just can’t. So it’s all hard to say. That part where you see Skeletor’s torso sticks out like a fucking sore thumb, for instance. And it’s bloody weird that in a 2.25 minute trailer he doesn’t say a word.
So far I think I’m just waiting for the reviews then likely afterwards for it to appear on Amazon Prime! Though I imagine there’ll actually be a second trailer that rehashes most of this one but adds in characters, you know, talking to each other.

  5. Impressive!
I’m hoping that there is relatively little time spent on Earth.
Also, this is probably an unfounded fear, but I don’t want to have to wait until the third act before we actually see He-Man….
Skeletor looks better than I hoped as does Cringer!!
Time will tell, but color me excited!

  6. The statue in the shop is 100% Vikor. He has the fur pelt the Classics figure had.
I think one of the statues in front of Grayskull is He-Ro. You see it from the back early in the trailer and it has a cape and circlet. Later, we see another statue holding up the Power Sword but it’s missing it’s head. Yet another statue is holding a staff that COULD be He-Ro’s, but it’s cut off.

  7. I’ve watched this trailer a few times now. I am so in. This can’t come out soon enough. The whole line of “don’t worry the sword is mine” hooked me. I’m going in with an open mind. It can still be bad but let’s just hope it is not. We have waited far too long as a fanbase to not give this a chance.

  8. I really liked it. I love how they’re being as close to the Filmation cartoon as possible, without it being weird. The sorceress flying as the Falcon, even the hills of Eternia were made to look reminiscent of the cartoon. When Adam holds up his sword the freaking CLOUDS move like they’re supposed to do. The Eternia palace looks so good!
Paraphrasing someone above: it looks like we are going to get the live action movie we wanted in ’87.

Bring it on, I love it. I LOVE it.

    1. @he-metayer Yeah, Adam is initiating the transformation right in front of Trap Jaw 🤣 As a long time fan since the very beginning, I’m ok with dispensing of the secret identity. I don’t think it would work well if they tried going that route.

  9. I’m amazed at all of this, I think it’s a powerful introduction!
it has some sweet and funny scenes, and lots of action!
So much cool stuff, I’m hooked.
Yes it’s a different interpretation, but also there’s a LOT that is directly used straight from the classic canon, Grayskull, Fisto, Zoar, Cringer, Spikor,… I hope they can improve the CGI some more, so that the world feels more tangible. But I’m giddy about all of this!

  10. I just saw Mega Jay Retro posted that you can actually see King Randor running with Marlana and the young Prince Adam towards Castle Grayskull in the overhead shot but then the next shot it’s just Marlana and Adam running towards the Castle entrance with the Sorceress standing to the side.
Randor stopping to make a last stand and buy time perhaps? 🤔

    1. I’ve watched this trailer over 20 times and the effects keep feeling strange to me. They feel too glossy like someone used AI to help. Does anybody else feel this way?

It’s not just you, it somehow feels like instead of the usual grey scale (heh) filter to hide the CGI every movie is affected with now, they ran it through a strange AI one instead. Quite a few people have mentioned it online. Like it’s way beyond how far Marvel goes with filters. It almost looks like that Beowulf movie, that sorta computerised lighting of a scene.

DEMASIADO CGI. ¿Crees que estas cosas podrían arreglarse antes del estreno? Gracias a todo el equipo de HE-MANIA.COM por el excelente trabajo que hacen.
[Hello, I’m another MOTU fan since childhood. I’m very excited about the trailer and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final result, although there are a few things I didn’t like: THE RED LIGHTS IN SKELETOR’S EYES. HE-MAN NEEDS TWICE AS MUCH MUSCLE. TWICE AS MUCH! TOO MUCH CGI. Do you think these things could be fixed before the release? Thanks to the entire HE-MANIA.COM team for the excellent work you do.] https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTrpfOKR3_YGYpUm2tm3neRsYmRLBiWzoUdhA&s
