OUR REVIEW:
While an amazing story could have been crafted around the terrific transformation powers of the Horn of Evil, the subpar writing doesn’t do the artifact nor the episode justice. Stick around for the song at the climax, if you dare. (4/10)

  1. This episode has to be in contention for worst in the series, worse than “The Greatest Show in Eternia” and “The Starchild”, and I can sum it up with two things: Yuckers and that abomination of a song. Outside of Montork and Dre-Elle, I don’t think there’s a guest star Trollan that’s not annoying.

Which is a shame because this episode has some enjoyable pieces: Clawful is a welcome addition 52 episodes in as another (competent) Evil Warrior, and He-Man saving the villagers is fun. Plus it has probably my favorite “Cringer objects to transforming “ moment in the series when he rolls his eyes and says “Oh, twice in one day – Orko better appreciate this!” It’s animated beautifully and is genuinely funny.

  2. As a guy who loves Orko, I can only take so much Trollan in one episode.
I love Clawful. I think I saw another episode he was in, can’t remember which, but he’s quickly become one of my favorite Evil Warriors. Anyone else agree he’s also probably one of the most well animated characters in the show facial expression wise?
Though I’m confused why they gave characters like him and Fisto……."metallic" filtered voices I guess you could say? It’s just weird.
This episode would’ve been way better without Dree Elle and Yakers and more Clawful

“At least Orko’s around when things come up."
    “That’s what worries me."
Always love Man-at-Arms’ subtle snarks about Orko
