OUR REVIEW:
First an episode about drugs, now an episode about divorce, this normally good writer is back to uncannily teach viewers a lesson in the most repetitive, least entertaining way possible. Noble effort, but poor result. (3/10)

Tomorrow’s Episode is: “The Dragon’s Gift”

This is my all time favorite series but it still has a couple of episodes like this one – I DESPISE this episode, there’s almost nothing about it I can shed a positive light on. The Starchild is annoying, it’s almost like they dropped a Care Bear in Eternia. The two groups fighting for her aren’t much better, all fighting over the power of love.
Action is also sorely missing in this episode, you don’t ever really feel any legitimate threats. I can’t believe they bring back the Starchild later on and actually pair her with someone even more annoying (Bowena). At least that one has good villains/slightly better story.
At least tomorrow we get a classic in “The Dragons Gift” 😀
1 star. First absolute stinker in the series. Annoying characters, crap plot, downright boring. Dregs episode.
Not the worst, but an overall meh episode. Does anyone else think there are maybe a few moments that could be seen as a little uncomfortable with modern sensibilities? I mean two guys going after a little girl who is never given full context to who she is nor their prior relationship to her?
Only other notable thing I feel like pointing out is that I love when you can tell how obvious it is when these older cartoons had limited voice casts, I mean the Cave Dweller leader, John Erwin is just using his Adam voice slightly higher. (no disrespect)
@slycooperastroboy51 The creep factor was strong with this ep. Not just the way the two men fought over her but even the way He-Man handled her sometimes. It gave me the willies.
Alan you give this character the voice of Man-At-Arms with a sore throat and John you give this character the voice of Prince Adam with someone squeezing his balls slightly.
I don’t think this series has a bad episode but I can admit I don’t watch this one much. I would have preferred to have learned more about the Starchild, where she came from, how did she get her powers, and who were her real parents but I still like what we got. I never saw Starchild as symbolism for a custody battle before but it works.
Mattel should have raised a hand and asked how exactly does this episode sell He-Man toys?

Update:My daughter got upset and wants to give this episode 5 stars cause she loved it. Go figure.
