Actress Morena Baccarin was speaking to MovieWeb revently about her new upcoming film “Greenland 2: Migration” with actor Gerard Butler.

While promoting this new action sequel, Morena was naturally asked about her blockbuster role as the Sorceress in the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” Movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios. This is what the 46 year old actress had to say:

How the role of Sorceress differed from other roles she has played:

“[The Sorceress is] just another notch in the belt of my career. I don't think she's similar to anything I've ever played before. I did some movement training and some wire work. But a lot of it's gonna be done in post, and in effect.

How exciting was it to play the Sorceress:

"It was just a total bucket list moment to participate in a franchise that I grew up watching, That was just like, I had to pinch myself several times.

In a previous interview, Morena Baccarin revealed the the 1983 Filmation Series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” was a really big part of her childhood.

On Nicholas Galitzine:

"And I think Nicholas Galitzine is going to be incredible as He-Man. You know, people are going to be pleasantly surprised and have a great time watching the film. Yeah, I'm excited for you to be able to see it.”

The “Masters of the Universe” Movie is currently in Post-Production with the film scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026
