If the MOTUNIVERSE announcement wasn’t exciting enough, there is a second new festival announced for 2026 that will take place a few months after the release of the new “Masters of the Universe” movie!
It is slated for September 12-13, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio and it’s called MOTUFest.
Now while we know the city and state for MOTUFest, the actual venue has not been announced yet.
Then, looking out even further into the following year, after a several year hiatus, the multi-brand convention Power-Con will return in the Spring of 2027 (with no location or specific dates provided for that event).
Here is their official Facebook statement:
"Power-Con is back with double the excitement! First up, we're thrilled to announce MOTUFest in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 12 & 13, 2026. Thank you for wanting us to return to MOTU. Your on-going enthusiasm for us to produce another He-Man and She-Ra event means so much. "Stay tuned for details on hotel and vendor reservations, along with guest announcements. Secondly, after a successful run in 2022 and 2023, Power-Con will return with a general toy show in 2027. We'll be sure to share more information as time goes on. "We deeply appreciate your support and patience during 2024 and 2025 while Val Staples, our Event Director, recovered from surgery and cared for a family member. @mighty-thanos I think Cincinnati downtown has a lot of construction going on thats supposed to last until 2027. That said I imagine they have a venue and will announce in due time since they’re a little ways off unlike MOTUNIVERSE.
It is a little ways off. Forgive me for the conspiracy theory but since there is no venue could it be possible they rushed the Power-Con announcement out because of MOTUNIVERSE?

Ok. I didn’t see the first announcement. So it was announced again but bigger and for realsies.
The first announcement was that the Masters of the Universe and Princess of Power focused Power-Con would be returning in 2026 as MOTUFest. The second announcement was the MOTUFest date and location. It is not a conspiracy, because the information did not find you, especially when you did you seek it out.
No I didn’t see it. Was it in a facebook group? Does it matter? Everybody saw the bigger second announcement. My theory is it was promoted heavy without a location when the MOTUNIVERSE kickstarter started to alert people before they spend their money booking flights and hotels on MOTUNIVERSE that there is another con too. You don’t have to buy in on my conspiracy theory but it’s not that crazy.
Yes, it does matter, when you are substituting a conspiracy in place of looking up readily available information.
To your theory, the truth is out there if you look for it.
Live in Texas and have attended two recent cons (GOT TO MEET FRANK WELKER!). Getting used to attending them. They’re fun and next year I may attempt going out of state if I can for MOTUinverse or MOTUfest.
early next month I’m attending another con that’s franchise/fandom specific of a brand I love. Crafting my first amateur cosplay that is a fusion of Hordak and [REDACTED] because I see similarities in their character.
Hoping Power Con is as cool as people say they are even if it’s a long way away.
So because the movie is coming Power-Con, MOTU Fest, and the org are all back. Suddenly it’s all affordable now.

So I think passes are going on sale soon? Looks like they’ve got a good con going and last night they announced a MOTUFest exclusive Mondo 1/12 200X Anti-Eternia He-Man figure.
Anyone planning on going? I think the rumor was a weekend pass would be $60 or $40 for a day.
