A new Masters of the Universe Origins “Cartoon Collection” (200X) DELUXE SAMURAI HE-MAN Action Figure has been revealed, thanks to Walmart’s upcoming Collector Con!
Here are all the details:
“In 2002, a redesigned MOTU action figure line was released that has become known informally as 200X (pronounced ‘Two Thousand X’).
“The Spring 2026 Origins Cartoon Collection Deluxe figures will be modern versions of these vintage 200X designs and reinforcing the theme of good versus evil.
“Like previous Origins Deluxe figures, they will be oversized in relation to regular Origins figures, have at least 16 points of articulation and have exchangeable body parts and sharable accessories. They come packed in a window box with a collectable character bio card.”
Retailing for $21.97 U.S., the Masters of the Universe Origins “Cartoon Collection” (200X) Deluxe Samurai He-Man Action Figure will be available to pre-order at the Walmart Collector Con beginning October 10th at 7am PST!

This is an interesting situation. It’s the one thing that makes me hesitant about a dedicated 200X subline for the Masterverse. We already have endless variants. And the bar was pushed to its highest point by the toyline of that era, which is famous for it.
If they start this sort of thing it’ll alienate collectors. I have every single origins item released with the exception of Faker/Duplicate and if I’m not able to get some of this line due to it, I might just have to drop out.
@iamchristoal I don’t think they release the Walmart figures anywhere else and sometimes they are very scarce like Duplico. Everyone was angry about that one.
Does anyone know if He-Man looked like this in the 200X cartoon or is just some kind of weird variant like Disco Skeletor?

It’s from the episode where he first meets Sy-Klone, the Legacy Stones create Legacy Armour for him and Skeletor IIRC.
@iamchristoal “Collector Con” is just a name for a special 2-day selling window on Walmart.com , but some stuff is easily available afterwards on Walmart.com. Like the Masterverse Vintage Collection. There were exceptions, but for example you can get the previous Duplico now die cheap, same with flocked Moss Man, … it’s hard to say beforehand.
If you’re not in the US, it depends, I know some US exclusives are distributed widely in Europe, some don’t show up. Some items actually are easier to get abroad, randomly.
I wouldn’t give up on Origins yet. Weren’t ToG Super-Shredder and Turtles King Hiss Walmart exclusives at first? They showed up at BBTS eventually, and are still available.

One of those exceptions is ToG Mer-Man, which I’m still mad about. This puts a sour taste in my mouth.

Will this be available only at that convention?

I’m in the UK and managed to get Duplico pretty easily.
We have an online supplier called The Whole Shebang and they tend to get the exclusives so fingers crossed.
