  1. A bit weak but I get where they’re coming from, with the tradition of giving our protagonists special armors, like Battle Armor, Snake Armor etc

I suppose transforming vehicles will come from Hasbro. That should be a bit more impressive.

I like MAA’s accessories but the figure is a bit boring to me. Skeletor’s chunkier armor is kinda fun, he looks good in package… I ordered him.

I really hope we get an Optimus Prime Armor He-Man and another bad guy from Mattel. If Hasbro is doing something an Origins scale Lio Convoy as Battle Cat, and a Panthor repaint.
Here’s Lio convoy’s most resent US figure.

    2. @smitty-81 Ah yeah, that one. Forgot about it! I’m very curious what Hasbro does. It would be so cool if it’s Origins scale, not just a random size.
I liked that the Megatron armor is a bit box-y, that’s very Transformers for me. Hope whatever else Mattel does, it follows that direction. It also sets it apart from other various armors we’ve had in MOTU.

    3. @cosmic I definitely want a Prime Armor He-Man and another Decepticon Armor Evil Warrior, then if Hasbro just up-scaled Lio Convoy and Tigatron, then made them into Battle Cat and Panthor, maybe turn Tigatron into Megatron… IDK it seems obvious… to me.

    4. @smitty-81 I have read some replies on the toyark-affiliated TF forum, pretty mixed the response, just like here.
But that one guy who said he can do it better, and literally painted Transformers figures in MOTU colors– we basically got the same just flipped – these are Masters, “painted” In Transformers gear. But I totally get that people are disappointed or confused.
Some say these may reference the old Pretenders figures, but the connection isn’t clear.
A small robot (even non transforming) may have helped. But they may not have the right to do that.
I think what holds this back a bit is that the corporations don’t really collaborate– it’s not like their design teams meet and workshop these till it works, a true merging of worlds.
Even DC – Marvel Crossover Comics have usually one book produced by Marvel, one book by DC. Not a jointly produced comic. Just the way it is with this stuff.
Maybe Turtles and TCats are closer in spirit to Masters, while TF is a more unique product. Let’s see if Hasbro follows up.

    5. @cosmic I’m a member over there. I made the observation that these are like inside out Pretenders.
Transformers Pretenders were transformers with an organic shell that they wore around their robot body. These are organic characters from Masters of the Universe with Transformers armor. The biggest distinction between these two, is that for Masters of the Universe, the armor seems to still be a completely sentient transformer.

    6. @smitty-81 I had a couple simple Pretenders back in the day, (was fascinated with the over-the-top Mega- and Ultra-Pretenders. Shame they are so expensive now 😅). I could never decide if  shell and inner not were separate sentient beings lol
I’m definitely curious about the comic, always a big reason to get these things. Do you think it’s two different ones? I assumed both have the same, and maybe a second wave has a different one.

    1. @cosmic Somewhere in their HQ is probably someone with numbers that says it will sell to someone. Did not really matter either way for me that much. I like both franchises; I even do think something cool could be done with some kind of crossover. But for me this is not it.
An Autobot Windraider vs a Decepticon Roton on the other hand… my finances are kinda relieved they did not went that route 😓 😆
