Okay so when I first saw this article I thought this was one of those online mystery boxes, which it is, but I assumed it was one of those smaller monthly subscription type, which it isn't. $70 hoping for 5-8 great items you hopefully don't already have and may even hit the jackpot? K, this intrigues me and the wide selection of all the other licenses they have wow they literally have everything.
Though one immediate nitpick I have is that yeah, they're supposed to mystery boxes, but I'm not seeing them give any examples of exactly WHAT types of products they put in there and I could possibly expect from buying one.
Figures?
Attire?
Mini-poster?
Wallet?
Comic?
I feel like as this is officially licensed, I should be given an idea of what types of product stocks Mattel or any other license company gives these people to ship in these boxes.
For all I know I could always keep getting a Walmart $5 bargain bin level DVD of the '87 movie over and over.
IDK about the '87 movie. I mean they explictily picked the 2002 MOTU Design. Not the more anchored Filmation design nor the recent Revelation one.
@lurker-man It could have been picked for them meaning, with the new Cartoon Collection 200X action figure line coming soon, perhaps these are the assets Mattel is making available right now to licensees (and why we saw the same imagery used at San Diego Comic-Con this year).
We have the Power!
I don't think I'm the ideal customer for this type of offer, especially given the very tight budget I've been allocating to my hobbies lately.
