Loved that scene! I vaguely remember speculation on heman.org that the Preternian heroes might be based on Sharella from origins, Mara from New Adventures, and Sun Man and Bolt Man from Sun Man. Maybe the designers will speak on it someday.
@caliban That's all it is - they just threw in some total randoms as filler for that purpose. It's not like they didn't have countless existing characters they could have used for those spots, including Preternian ones, like Sir Laser Lot, Eldor, or quite a few others.

A common misconception. Rock heaven is reserved for the likes of David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix etc.
But they all played a much subtler role in Revolution. Almost imperceptible.
