@sketchyskeletor I mean I liked Bumblebee, but it was basically the Transformers equivalent to Pixar's Up where whenever you bring it up in a conversation, all people will talk about is the opening.
Yeah I don't know why Hollywood is still obsessed with Leto. He's been attached to that upcoming Tron film for eight years despite everything. (I liked Legacy, the director of that just made Top Gun Maverick but no Disney decides to get the director of such hits as Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and the sequel to the Angelina Jolie Maleficent that no one remembers/knows exists)
Maybe they're hoping he'll make an RDJ-like comeback? Doubt it though, yet at the same time I doubt him being heavily in this film alone will hurt the box office performance considering everything else about the movie
Call me crazy, yeah he's definitely not the best choice, but I feel he could maybe work as Skel given his knack for acting unhinged on camera. We'll have to wait and see, though I hope Skel's face is idk a mo-cap skull head rather than his face in heavy makeup. He does at least look the part for Keldor though.

Can't help thinking Keldor is why he was actually chosen, but even so... urgh.
@sketchyskeletor Yeah that may be the case. I've said this in the main MOTU Movie forum, but I think Ben Mendelsohn would've been a good choice for Skel but I'm guessing they wanted a (somehow) big name actor to play both younger Keldor and Skeletor and not have to pay for two separate actors.
Also said that I think he is a great choice for Hordak should sequels be made. He would maybe even fit him more considering Hordak is a way more serious villain. Rogue One, Ready Player One if you ignore the pop culture cameo key jingling (ironically He-Man is one of them), good examples of what he could bring to Hordy. I'm gunning for it.
Also I'm sorry for my She-Ra 2018 Entrapdak bias and I fully acknowledge the unlikeliness of it but Kimiko Glenn as Entrapta for the inevitable She-Ra spin-off film imma put it out there. Doubt it'll be an Amazon series anymore.
I want to see another season of Kevin Smith's show but I would love a new show too. I hope they use the same animators. Revelation and Revolution looks so pretty.
Question for long time fans and collectors: have the LA Toy previews ever produced any major MOTU news?
I noticed from the news story from Toy World about the prequel series etc that apparently next week is the LA Fall Toy Preview event where retailers and distributors from around the world head to El Segundo in Los Angelee where various showrooms are set up for various toy companies and where Mattel HQ and their permanent showroom is located. Mattel is part of the preview and supposed to be showcasing next year's products...maybe some movie products?
@dgsimo Fingers crossed! The sooner, the better! There are too many things in the air lately and my brain just can't take it anymore! I'm extremely excited at the moment after witnessing how brilliantly Mattel has reignited the flame following the incredible era of MOTUC Classics. Allowing Mondo to produce their own Motu figures was a very smart move on their part. Then came MotU Origins with its staggering potential for expansion, as well as Masterverse and its various sublines, not to mention several other goodies such as games and a brand new comic series. Ah, Mattel, "you give me fever!"

I seem to remember not much coming out of that one. It's no NY toy fair. It could be the timing. Mattel always blows their load at SDCC they got nothing new to show.
This show will be one thousand times better than Revolutions. MARK MY WORDS!

They've expanded the venue for this one but yeah, unless you're a distributor or buyer representing the big retailers you'd never know either way. It's not a public toy fair but the sales folks will basically be shown whatever Mattel has cooked up in their showroom for next year.
BLE seems like it's the main stage they'll start pulling the curtain back for the public that attends, which is exciting as we're basically just over a month away!

E.T. wouldn't have gone home if Hailee Steinfeld was Elliott.
