John Campea, the creator and host of the popular "The John Campea Show" (a show that has referenced He-Mania.com / ForEternia.com several times)... ...revealed to the world that he spoke to someone who actually saw the New "Masters of the Universe" Movie (and was extremely positive about it!) The timing of John's reveal tracks with our exclusive scoop that the new "Masters of the Universe" movie is being test screened today (which means there is a rough cut now being seen by a small portion of the public! John revealed his scoop during an episode highlighting when the first trailer…
We have the Power!
Very cool! John was also super impressed and stoked when they saw the CinemaCon stuff too.
I saw Eamon commented on the test screening post and said a friend saw the trailer was pleasantly surprised too.

Was anything from CinemaCon ever leaked other than the descriptions? No one took a photo?
@he-mayon No mainly due to CinemaCon is mostly for theater owners and managers, along with the press, and since there's a strict no photography rule nothing ever leaks.
It's a con for them so they generally have no reason to leak anything.
If you want a good laugh try the Kindle sample (for the love of God don't buy it!) of Frank Gomez's Masters of the Universe Movie Review on Amazon. AKA I asked AI to write some slop and it came back with Mattel creating He-Man because boys rejected Ken, Evil-Lyn doing a 12 minute monologue in the movie, and Leto locking himself in a deprivation tank for 116 days 'to become the skull'.

Sounds like Alien: Earth.
John talks about the screenings last night and how a couple viewers reached out and told him that yes its Amazing. One person said it's Travis Knight's best film and another said it was so good and similar in tone to the first Thor movie.

@sketchyskeletor Wpw! At first he said it leans really heavy in the comedy and is lighter in tone...that had me a little worried but then everything else he says sounds awesome!
- Tons of Action!
- The character and vehicle designs are very faithful to the original toys
- Sword choreography is outstanding
- Sets and set pieces are fantastic
- Nicholas as He-Man and Adam is great and he also looks great. He looks the part!
- Jared Leto is...shockingly...great as Skeletor. He channels more of a duo of Tim Curry roles including Darkness from Legend meets the Rocky Horror Picture show.
- Skeletor's face is CGI
- Tons of Easter eggs and references to old internet memes.
- Reference to Highlander but I think it's more of a temp track since it was a sword fight set to Queen's Princes of the Universe.

Everything sounds great except the apparent over reliance on comedy and normie clickbait. There's not one suggestion of the plot or even the pacing being good but loads of chat about anything else. It already feels like the usual worn-out playbook for movie hype these days so I hope I'm wrong.

The "author" was so lazy he left the AI communication in his book overview.

@sketchyskeletor Ooo gonna have to check this out! Seems like every reaction has been overwhelmingly positive!
Again....WHERE IS THE TRAILER!
EDIT: The John Campea stuff today is a bit of a nothing burger. He just reads off comicbookmovies.com report about Mr. H'S YouTube video and what he said, so stuff we've all already heard before.

He does talk about things like the outfits being toy accurate but also made for a movie, and that he suspects people didn't sign NDAs at the showings.
@sketchyskeletor Yeah there was that but folks definitely signed a NDA, some are just sharing their thoughts anonymously lol
