Actor Nicholas Galitzine has been recently doing promotion for his upcoming new movie, "100 Nights of Hero". A comedy coming December 5th to theaters in the United States in a limited release, the He-Man & Prince Adam actor was also asked about next year's blockbuster film "Masters of the Universe". While speaking with ScreenRant, Nicholas talked about the "Masters of the Universe" script, the humanity in story and his perception of the Prince Adam character. Check it out: What is Nicholas Galitzine most excited for fans to see? NICHOLAS GALITZINE: Honestly, I knew when I got the script that it…
We have the Power!
I hope we get a trailer soon. It feels like we have been waiting forever.
The element of gender roles seems of particular interest in Masters of the Universe. The star mentioned that He-Man is "a handshake between what traditional masculinity and feminity are," as a character. Balancing these stereotypes and conventions will allow the film to make an interesting comment on gender roles.
This commentary seems ripe for a character literally named "He-Man." While some past depictions have portrayed a conventionally muscular, masculine character, this modernized version of He-Man may challenge that perspective, or at the very least call this into question in terms of how it falls within gender convention.
First of all the guy seemed to be talking about Adam*, not He-Man. Secondly, this is exactly why nobody should talk to Screenrant when promoting a movie. This is all that website ever does, spinning any given project into some sorta social narrative.
And if Masters actually is some sorta vapid gender thesis? Well, they should just wipe the hard drives it's stored on and take the tax break.
*Adam wasn't camp enough or something? Now he's in touch with his femininity too? Do you like making money?
I have a strange feeling the trailer will release online on December 14th. Then it'll be in theaters with Avatar. I don't know why, but I have a feeling it will. If I'm right, I have magic powers.
@sketchyskeletor It took me a minute to figure out who you were quoting. In the end the movie will speak for itself.

Couldn't get the quote function to work properly on my phone, wouldn't let me type afterwards!
