By the Power of Grayskull! He-Man actor Nicholas Galitzine has just taken to social media to share the very first Official Promotional image (featuring himself as He-Man holding the Power Sword) from the upcoming “Masters of the Universe” Movie from Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films. Here is what Nicholas shared: "After several months of intense training, I’m thrilled to share that we’re officially in production on #MastersOfTheUniverse. Our director Travis Knight has assembled the most incredible ensemble cast and created a stunning tapestry of Eternia and its surrounding world. I can’t wait for you to see. More to come,…

In that picture he is looking more Beastmaster size than He-Man size.

It's He-Man! This is so exciting. So when do we think we will see the first trailer? Maybe Mattel will put one together for San Diego Comic Con!

@skeledog his transformation is very impressive. You need to consider the fact that he has never done any form of body building before and they probably don't have him on a crazy amount of steroids. Additionally, from a genetic standpoint he might not be a hyper-responder to gear either which would decrease his size. It takes years of dedicated training with optimized nutrition, sleep and workout regime to efficiently grow muscle. Doesn't matter if you're a natural or enhanced lifter. As a natural lifter you'd be looking at 10-15 years of consistent dedication in all aspects of training to reach your full genetic potential. Considering he likely had 6ish months to bulk, cut and film I'd say this is incredibly impressive. If the movie does well and he continues playing He-Man in sequels I'd say that his physique will only improve film over film.

Quite frankly this looks like your run of the mill sword and sorcery teaser. The Netflix programs have done it better.

Uuuuuuuffffffffff... I sincerely hope it will be a good movie, but nowadays it is damn hard for me to be hyped about the new Hollywood productions.

From what we can see in this early image, it looks awfully similar to the armor worn by the first release Mondo He-Man...

@ornclown i can dig it ^_^
i remember the first time i saw the version 2 mondo he-man and thinking that would be a good look for a live-action movie. just reminiscent enough of the filmation-style, but without being too cartoony.
i wouldn't want them to just copy the dolph lundgren costume from the '87 movie anyway lol

Looking promising, nice to see the sword in less unflattering circumstances and presented as a symbol of strength and power

I swear if you look real hard you can see the logo.  Looks like they are going with the old BA logo to me.

Maybe. The way you drew it looks off center to me.

@skeledog Leto I'm not sure about. In Morbius he was in pretty good shape, but he wasn't huge. He had a really lean, athletic build. Almost like Skeletor from 200x (even though our boney homie was pretty big in that show too). The issue with Leto is that he's very, very particular about his health and appearance based on what little I know about him. So I highly doubt he would dabble in steroid use. Here's my best Skeletor guesses:

1. Skeletor is entirely CGI and Leto voices him

2. Skeletor is fully practical, but the skull head is CGI so they use a body double and Leto is only lending his voice

3. We get a leaner/ less muscular version of Skeletor and they lean more into his sorcerer/wizard origins and less about being a hand to hand warrior

Time will tell I guess
