There is lots of exciting information to report on the new “Masters of the Universe” Movie thanks to the April 2026 Edition of EMPIRE Magazine (out now). One aspect that has made "Masters of the Universe" fans excited is the inclusion of Cringer and his alter ego Battle Cat (a character understandably absent from the 1987 film.) We have the Power!
I gotta say, I'm loving this recent emphasis on a Battlecat/Beastman rivalry. Obviously we all think of Panthor, but they've yet to truly do that rivalry any true justice on screen outside of two and half brief fights.
But since we've had this He-Man renewal the last 5-6 years this has been a rivalry shown in all the mediums: Revelation, CGI He-Man, and now the movie. Dating back to Filmation I love the fact that Battlecat and Cringer are the only two animals that Beastman can't control due to the power of Grayskull.
I agree. Battle Cat V Beast Man is what I want if it can't be Battle Cat V Panthor though I was really hoping for Panthor.
