Yay! We'll get to see BTS!! THIS IS AWESOME!! I hope they reveal the full designs and cast. Hopefully voice actors for Orko and Cringer/Battlecat. I hope we see every character from the vintage line (not including the Snakemen, the Horde, PoP) I can't wait to see the Sorceress. Everybody keeps on saying she looks really cool.

Reading this press release, I really feel like with the extreme exception of Disney, Hollywood is finally mostly starting to get the hang of how to adapt a beloved IP because with a lot of newer film/TV adaptations they get people who actually grew up with/at least really understand the source material very well and this movie will be yet another example.

The recent Mario and Mortal Kombat movies compared to the ones from the 90s Need I say more? Though with Mario it was mostly down to Nintendo actually having creative say but still.

Mostly video game movies because this generation of filmmakers actually grew up as gamers but also things like Transformers and TMNT.

I am thankful to live in a timeline where Sonic is the first game franchise in history to get a whole film trilogy and a good one at that.

Mattel seems to have this mindset with their films going forward of respecting their brand’s legacies. This upcoming movie may have been in development hell since around ‘09 or so but I think it’s finally coming out at the exact right time.

I really hope this includes full-fledged MOTU video games on the consoles!
