The New Adventures thread inspired me to do this.Ā Ā Who is your favorite 200X character interpretation?
I think mine is Stratos. I really like that Sean Connery voice of his.

Mine would probably be Man-at-Arms. Top notch all around from his animation model to his voice. š

I actually like Buzz-Off (as he arguably got alot more screentime and character development than some of the other masters), and Tri-klops (as he went from an underused lackey to Skeletor's tech guy).

Evil-Lyn

Ya the whole Buzz-Off and Stratos tension was well played too

There were so many great new characters! I think I'll have to go with Lord Dactys.
Ā
Evil-Lyn gets my vote for best take on an original character.
I'd say He-Man even though that is kind of a safe answer.Ā
I enjoyed the new Count Marzo quite a bit.Ā Ā
Garry Chalk was perfect casting for Man-At-Arms.Ā I got a chance to talk to him for a bit at a Power-Con.Ā
Four Horsemen Design / Toy wise? Iād say Orko, Sorceress and HORDAK - I appreciated the design of Keldor and the Snake Men a lot as well.. in the actual show ⦠š¤ Ā King Randor and King Grayskull probably..Ā
@filmgeek Hordak is my favorite MOTU character in general and of course the show ended before we saw enough of him but what we did see of him, everything I think they did do with him is kickass. Love his design, would love a new figure of him.
Except the fact that they made him another evil sorcerer who uses magic.
I get in the context of the show he was trapped and sealed for god knows how long and this was the first version of the franchise to really hammer home, going a little more into detail of his former relationship to Keldor/Skeletor, but I prefer how it's always been depicted in every other MOTU media piece
Skeletor and Hordak contrasting each other in terms of how they fight and command. I love that aspect of them.
Skeletor being the Dark Lord of Destruction who mainly uses magic and sorcery but sometimes technology if the plot or henchmen he's working with calls for it.
Hordak being a Galactic conquer, the Lord of the Horde who is a cyborg who can transform into anything (wish they brought that aspect to him back in more recent incarnations other than his arm canon, except not to a very cartoonish degree like in Filmation. More or less just his limbs transforming.) and heavily uses technology, machinery and robotics to forge his empire but sometimes uses magic when the plot or henchman (or henchwoman in the case of Shadow Weaver) calls for it.
As for prominent favorite characters in the show? Haven't watched all the episodes but a really good portion, like more than 2/3, but from what I've seen Adam, Teela, Man-at-arms, Roboto, the first time Skeletor was taken seriously as a villain in animation and scientist technician Tri-Klops (another character aspect I wish future incarnations would solidify)
Dekker was also a cool one-off episode character I liked.
I love EVERYONE in this series. If you love the 80s series that is fine. But I loved this series way more than the 80's series. Only thing i didn't like was the sword design. even that is a nitpick at this point.
